When I was little I read a book about a boy who slept with his head on the wrong side of the bed. His mum told him if he did that again he would turn into an ink splodge. At the end of the story he did it again and he turned into an ink splodge and his mum mopped him up before he could say anything.
I was so scared by this story that it was a few years before I dared sleep with my head on the wrong side of the bed!!

My dad snores, but my mom doesn't, so when I was little I thought only men snored. So one day at school I was talking with a friend about our parents, and she said that her mother snored. I replied in shock "Your mom's a MAN?"
When I was little I thought that when you were asleep people could tell what you were dreaming just by looking at you, unless:
-There was no light shining directly on you.
-You had your eyes and mouth covered if you were lying on your back.
-You had the back of your head covered if you were lying on your side.
i used to believe that after you rub the sleep out of your eye it will jump back in. so when i woke up in the mornings i would make sure i got the sleep on my fingers and open our front door and flick it outside, that way i figured it couldnt find me
When I was a child I used to believe that if you yawned at the same time as someone else that it meant you both went to bed at the same time.
About 4 years ago, I watched a freaky movie about small creatures that sucked the air out of you while you were sleeping. They stood on your chests, took deep breaths, and boom, you're dead.
I was so mortified that for the following year, I never slept on my back, face up.

Once when I was like in second grade, our teacher told the class that without the sun there would be no life on the planet. Because of this I believed that sleeping at night was really dying because the sun was out and then coming back to life when the sun came up.
When i was 4 i my sister and i shared a room. We slept on a bunk bed. She had the top and i had the bottom. One night i heard this awful sound. and being only 4 i thought that there was a munster under my bed! i was so scared! When i told my mum about my fears she told me that it was just my sister snoring!!!!
When I was younger, I used to believe that the goop that formed in the corner of your eyes while you slept was left-over sleepdust that the sandman had sprinkled on them. I also believed that if you left it on there, it would grow and you would go blind. What a dumbo!
I use to have a pic of a unicorn w/ castles that floted in the air. I would think that when i fell asleep, the unicorn would jump out of the pic, and would pretect me from all the bad things :)
I believed that my shoes came alive & ran around the house when I was sleeping.
I used to believe that when I Went to sleep, my heart would stop beating. I mean, hearts need rest too, you know!
i used to believe that when u slept u went to the land of nod and if u didnt get a return ticket u wouldnt be able to wake up again. how strange is that???
When I was a child my father told my little brother, if you stay up until late you will see the sandman.
My brother fell asleap on a carpet so he didn't see the sandman.
When I was a child I didn't sleep well until late at night. So, my parents were worried about me. My older cousin , live in my house. He told me " now at night outside of the house, there is a very very scarely old women, who is like ghost. She wants to catch a boys and girls. But If you don't want to be caught by her you should go to bed early . and you have to make a fist while you sleep, got a lot older I made a fist and went to bed early.
when i was 5 i was obsessed with the 'sleep' in my eyes. i used to think that while i slept, little mice took tiny pieces of cheese and put them in my eyes before i woke up in the morning.
...mice do love cheese
my uncle used to tell me that when you went to sleep at night, all snuggled in your safe bed, that the rats would come out and drink from the corners of your eyes.
I used to think that when you were sleeping you stoped breathing. Therefore when someone died they would soon wake up and live again.
I used to believe that if I left my window open at night a bat would make a nest in my hair.
I thought that if any part of my body was outside of the covers when I went to bed someone would come and chop it off. So, I would line the sides of the bed all the way down to the head with stuffed animals so I would be protected!
