When the house was silent and i was in bed, i could hear my own pulse but because i had a strange imagination i thought that it was a giant man comin to kill me but i was protected my an alarm. The only thing that got me to sleep was the thought that he doesnt know my alarm code. I was still scared though.

I use to think that when you lay your head on your pillow side ways on your ear, there is a little person or silhouette of yourself walking along underneath your hear all alone looking for something. But after all it is the sound of your heart beat.

I used to think that there were Indians under my bed. I would hear the drums beating if I put my head down on the matress. The longer I listened the more scared I got and the Indians would beat the drum louder and faster, louder and faster until I'd scream for my mommy.

When I was very young, my mother told me not to sleep with the bedsheets over my head because it would make me have trouble getting enough air. After she told me that, I was very careful to make sure I never fell asleep with a sheet covering my head for fear that I would not get enough air and die in my sleep.

i used to believe that i could control my dreams by a computer that i had in my brain. i could simply call up a list of possible dreams and "click on" whicheer one i felt like having that night. for some reason my favorite was one called "fish in a bonnet," which was about this little striped fish that wore a pink bonnet and solved crimes.

When I was about 6 I read something in a magazine about how people of a certain culture (no idea which) believed that if you slept with your mouth open your soul would climb out and you would stay asleep forever... this scared the hell out of me and I couldn't go to sleep for ages because I was too afraid my mouth would fall open!

Just like someone else here, I thought that pain in a dream resulted in real life pain. What convinced me of this was when I had a dream that commies shot my leg, and I woke right up with sciatica pain so bad, I had to go to the hospital. Woah.

I still blame the commies in my dream.

When my mom would put us to bed she would say goodnight kids! And then we would be like can we have a night night drink? She would go get us some water with crushed ice in it, and we thought that it was a magic potion to help us sleep better at night!!!
