When I was 2 or 3 one of my favourite "books" was Lego toys catalogue and no one knew why, 'cause I didn't want the toys from there, I just kept looking at it. What fascinated me so much was a tiny photo of some toy spaceship that was long and had a big ball at one end.and because of its shape I thought it was a girl. It was "flying" (or just had a night sky background) and since it was a photo and not a drawing I was convinced it was proof you can fly.

When I was little, I used to believe that I could breathe under water. But the real odd part is, that I have quite vivid memories of actually breathing underwater; the cold and heavy sensation of streams of water streaming though my mouth and nose, down the windpipe and into the lungs, making the body all heavy and cold because of the water. I'm still unsure whether I actually inhaled water or not...

When I was little, my younger sister and I would try to lift each other by the waists, simultaneously, thinking that this would allow us to fly. It never would work, and I attributed it to my sister not trying hard enough.

When I was a child, I came to the conclusion that I was superman. It ended when I dashed towards a chain fence in a parking lot. It caught me in the chest, and I flipped over it and smashed my head into the concrete. Imagine the motion I would have made if somebody put one hand on the back of my head, and another in front of my ankles, and pushed equally forward with both hands.

I used to have the notion that all people could hear what others are thinking, so I always was very careful about what I thought. After a few years of believing that, I came to the conclusion that only certain people could hear what others are thinking since I couldn't hear anybody's thoughts. However, because these people don't look any different from anybody else, I still had to be very careful about what I thought. I still think those certain people are out there, but I've managed to convince myself that they don't preoccupy themselves with my thoughts because there are other people whose thoughts are more interesting. ...once in awhile though, I still watch what I'm thinking, in case They are listening.

My brother told me he could lift the house up with his pinky. I believed him because he had reasonable excuses for not lifting it up. Like that there were poisonous snakes underneath the basement and they would eat me if he did.

I was kept busy for a long time as a child in the effort to kiss my elbow. If you can do that (everyone knows...) you can change your gender.

I really used to believe that I could actually see air. No amount of arguments to the contrary could disuade me and I used to get very fustrated at people because they couldn't see it too.

I have absolutely no idea what I must have been looking at - I've tried since but can't see it anymore.

I read a lot of comic books which explains why I used to believe that if I got hit by lightening that I would get superpowers.

My dad told me that light is made up of photons, and he casually mentioned that "no one can see a photon." I was convinced that I was the only one who could see them because I thought that the dust particles you can see under a desk lamp where "photons."

When I was a kid, I believed I could fly. And oddly enough, I have memories of flying around on the playground at my preschool. So... yeah... maybe I could fly...
