When I was 7 or 8 years old. I used to believe that... someday I'd be able to fry like Super man.
In case,I had often been practicing to fly in my mind.

When I was about 5 I think, I Use to watch the TV program "My Favorite Martian" I like so much the power of levitation that the Martian (Ray Walston) had, that I started asking God to give me this power, I told him that I was going to be a good boy if he gave me this power. Every morning when I woke up, I would put my finger just like he did, and point at something and with all my might try to move it, unfortunately this never happened.

I use to believe that if you stared at the sun long enough, (the more painful the better) you would eventually get laser powered eyes like on Superman. I don't know where I got this idea from but it didn't do my eeys any hram ;-)

I used to believe I had the power to see through things. I had noticed that I could "see through" my hand if I covered only one of my eyes. So I promptly went out and tried to see through buildings using that eye...

When I was little I was certain I could see in the dark. I would try out my "powers" by running around the yard at night. But after running into a tree face first, I had to live with the fact I couldn't see in the dark....

Growing up, I was very fond of the TV show "The Flying Nun" with Sally Fields. I even made a nun hat out of cardboard. We didn't live far from the school playground with the big swings and one weekend, my cousin and I went to play. I strapped the hat on and swung as high as I could . . . let go . . . and, oh, my god, I didn't know a broken arm could hurt so bad. My cousin ran screaming home and I was not allowed to watch the program again.

When I was about 5 years old, my dad worked the graveyard shift. While I was watching him sleep, I noticed that the skin on his scalp looked kinda greenish (he had very fine black hair, which made the translucent skin on his scalp look green tinted to me). I asked my mom, "Why is daddy's head green?" She told me that he was an alien, and that he might make me fly around the room when he woke up. I sat by his bed, wide-eyed and excited for my alien father to wake up and use his powers to levitate me. My mom noticed me waiting by his bed, and she decided to tell me the truth... that daddy wasn't really an alien. I cried. A lot. I really wanted to fly around that bedroom.

When I was a little kid, i would look at things crosseyed, and since I was seeing double, I thought I had special powers.I decided that there must be others like me "out there" and that once we found each other, we'd form a team of superheros, and we would fight evil. I would daydream about finding out how to master my "power"

One time when I was around five or six years old, my mother and I were going into an elevator, and the door started closing on my mom. I immediately leaped to the rescue, pushing the door open with my back. My mom walked in, and another lady already inside commented on how strong I was. From then on I believed I had super-strength, and would occasionally test to see if I still had it by bending spoons.

I also used to believe that everyone had magical powers, and that I would somehow learn to use them in a sudden epiphany at the age of sixteen. Sixteen came and went, and I still can't fling fireballs or conjure earthquakes... and sadly enough, I'm still waiting for that epiphany...

When I was a kid my mother had a necklace that had black/ smokey quartz stone as a pendent and when you held it to your eye you could see light and shadows enhanced. I believed that if you looked through my mothers necklace then you could see all the evil in the world and that it was the only time that the evil couldn't see you.

I used to believe that if i pushed against my eyeball in a certain way, i'd be able to see "white" ghosts.

I did this for a while before i realised that oddly enough, the "ghosts" would move in the direction i was looking whenever i turned my head.

I used to think that i was special because even when i had my mouth closed, that nobody knew that i could breath out of my nose. I would think to myself, boy im going to win all of the holding your breath contests from here on out. hehe.
