I used to have dreams that I could walk around in the air about half a metre off the ground. It happened so much that I got confused and thought I could really do it. I remember jumping off stuff in the garden and being mighty disappointed that I'd lost that power.

When i was little i thought that if you stared in the same place for a really long time withought blinking (in the dark) that a fourth dimension would open up. I also thought we lived in the fourth dimension.
I would try and my eyes would dry out.

There was a ledge outside my house that my cousin and I would climb upon, flap our arms and yell "Peter Pan, Peter Pan, teach my how to fly!" It was a constant disappointment when we landed on the pavement. This went on for some time. We just thought he wasn't listening.

One night, when I was about 4-5, I had a nightmare and I went into my parents room and I eventually fell asleep in their bed. I dreamed about flying. The next morning, lo and behold, I woke up in my own bed! I firmly believed that I could fly in my sleep and when I was told that my dad carried me back to my bed, I refused to believe it! I realised how silly this was a short time later.

When I was around 5 or 6 I came home with a bad report card. It was cloudy and looked like it was about to storm. When I got home my mom looked at my report card and then yelled "JESSE!" loudly and at the same time a very large lightning bolt flashed. I thought that my mom could control weather and because I was her son I thought that I could too by yelling my name. Three months later I was playing in my backyard in a snow storm with my friend. Remembering what happened previously I said "watch this" and yelled my name. Strangely, at the same time I yelled a powerful gust of wind blew me onto my face into the snow. I reasoned it was because I was too young to control my powers.

When I was little, I believed eating spinich would make me strong like popeye, so I used to force it down my neck. One day I was walking along the beach when I saw a 'rock', i picked it up and to my surprise I broke it on two, I told all my family who were ahead. I was so pleased with myself until I was told it was a hard horse poo!

When I was little I used to believe I could control the direction of the wind. I called myself 'Wind Girl'. I didn't realise how funny that is until later on.

When I was about 3, I used to have a Dallas Cowboys sweatsuit that I'd wear all the time. In fact, my parents had to wash that thing while I was in the bathtub. I would cry if anyone called me anyhing but Dallas, and I believed that my sweatsuit would protect me from wolves.

I was born in Kentucky and lived there for about 3 years. I had a playmate that I really loved. His name was Ges. Then my family moved to Illinois. I missed my friend so much that one night while standing out on our back porch of our new house, I yelled out his name. I figured that if I yelled loud enough, he could hear me back in Kentucky. I stood and listened for a reply, but none was heard.

Once when my family stayed at a motel, my sister and I were standing on a chair, looking out the little peep-hole at the top of the door, laughing at some thing or person walking by. At that moment, our 3 year old sister came running over to the door yelling, "I wanna see!" and just planted her face into the lower-half of the door, thinking that since we could see through the door at our head-height, why couldn't she see through it too?
