I used to believe that i was Luke Skywalkers younger brother and that when i was 12 i would have jedi powers and would be able to contact luke with my mind and get him to pick me up in his spaceship, this was to be the first of many disappointments in my life.

I used to beleave that I had the superpower to see through small objects if I held them close and looked at them crosseyed. I was very disapointed when I learned that this was only because one eye was looking at the object while the other looked passed it, making the object seem transparent to me.

From Kindergarden until some time on I always dreamnt I could fly. I'd get my dreams mixed up with real life and I thought I could just run for a little while, then jump into the air, and flap around as if I were swimming in the sky. I probably believed I could do it until the end of Elementary school:-P.

I used to believe that everyone could fly, they just didn't want anyone who hadn't figured out how to be able to, so they lied and said no one could fly.

I must've spent about an entire week trying to figure out how. ubluckily, nothing worked.

secretly, i still think i could fly if i tried hard enough.

I used to do this thing where I thought "I have to do _______ or the world will blow up." like "I have to knock on this door 3 times or the world will blow up." I don't know how that got started but I thought that if I stopped telling myself that the world would blow up and if I didn't do the stuff, the world would blow up.

When I was a kid, I convinced myself that I was psychic by staring at a ball of crumpled tissue paper and 'making' it move.

It was windy that day.

My brother had figured out to watch the oncoming traffic to see when their traffic light changed. So he totally impressed me with his super powers when he waved his hands and said "Green light now!" and the light would change. It took me some time to figure it out.

I used to have the ability to tell what colour things in black and white pictures were -- on our b&w tv, in newspapers, whereever. I knew that the things being photographed had colours, but I couldn't understand how colour could be "lost" when photographed.

I still remember, after 30-odd years, the feeling of seeing that a car on tv was blue, or that a woman was wearing a green dress.

I used to believe that I could fly like Superman if I had the right cape and got a good running start.

When I was younger, and got my little brother is this too, we'd gather feathers and tie them around with a rubber band. We'd flap around the front yard and jump, hoping to fly. I thought if we collected enough, we could fly like the birds! We must have looked really stupid! lol!

When I was little, I used to think that if I sucked in really hard and held my breath, I would be as thin as paper. I loved to scare my mom back then so when she came to tuck me in I would do that under the covers. I was so upset every night when she saw me.

I used to believe that if you brushed your teeth enough, they would shine so brightly it would cause a supernova and then you could turn into a mermaid. (I was obsessed with mermaids at the time and really wanted to be one.) I spent hours at a time brushing my teeth and got really disappointed when nothing happened.

One time we were driving past a house that advertised psychic tarot card readings for $20.00 and my daughter asked me if the lady inside knew we were driving by reading her sign.

I used to beleive I had a super-power of strength and speed when I touched my neck with my two fingers on my right hand. Like when I was in a race with the neigborhood kids I would touch my neck and 'get a burst of speed'. Yeah, I was quite a nut.

I used to believe I was an android after seeing the movie D.A.R.Y.L.L. I even thought of a cool name from my own name with dots in it. I used to think my parents repaired me at night when I was sick, in a secret computer room and they didn't want me to know. (Or anyone else, since I was a secret operation)

When i was a child, would make vocalize at as high a pitch as i could. When i would not make any sound at all, i assumed that i was producing ultrasonic pitches and that only dogs could hear me.

I used to believe i could lay eggs. My brother and my sister used to make me sit down on the floor and act like a chicken with my eyes closed and they would put an egg behind my back and id open my eyes and see the egg. Whenever i tried tyo do it when they weren't there and it didnt work i would cry.
