I told my 4yr old cousin that if he grabbed foam plates and flapped them hard & fast enough he would fly. He tried it and he said that he couldn't do it, so my dad grabbed the plates and flapped hard (however he was in bed) pushing himself up with his abs. His butt was the only thing touching the bed, and when he couldnt stand it he stopped, so it looked like he was about to fly. Man, I crack up every time I see my cousin try.

When i was younger i heard the phrase "photographic memory" but i wasnt sure what it meant. i came to the conclusion that if you look at something, put your index finger on your temple, and blink, you'll remember what you were looking at, even if it was a page out of a book. i tried doing this to study for tests, and didn't understand why mom kept telling me i had to go study more, when clearly i didn't need to.

i used to believe that one day i would develop laser-ray eyesight and i would use my laser beam to cut down all the trees to the same height... i would imagine this riding in car rides, zipping the tops off trees with my eyes.

I read a book about hypnotism, called The Demon Headmaster by Gillian Cross. The villain would control people's minds if he made eye contact with them.
I could never meet anyone's eyes for years.

I used to believe that making myself go cross-eyed was the same as X-ray vision, and that I had a special ability that no one else had.

When I was 3, I used to believe that when I rolled over in bed, my legs would detach and switch places. It happened very fast, so I would concentrate with all my might for the moment they detached and reattached.

I had a recurring dream as a child that if i lifted my legs from the ground, into the lotus position (I had no idea what that was, then), and pushed my hands toward the ground, i would be able to float in the air. I was so convinced of this that one day at school, i spent a whole recess trying to do it.

One lackadaisical day at home, after one of my many siblings birthday parties, there was an old helium birthday balloon kind of hovering in air. I took to laying on the couch and focusing all my "mind energy" on the balloon. At that exact moment a door shut in another room thus causing the balloon to sway a bit.

My dad told me a had something called Telekinesis, which meant I had the rare ability to move things with my mind.

Unfortunately when I told my 2nd grade teacher that I could move things with my mind she made me put my money where my mouth is.

I wasn't able to produce...

I used to think that if you blew a kiss to someone, they could actually feel it even if they weren't in the room with you.

I tested this theory whilst going to sleep on holiday one day and asked my father whether he felt a kiss the night before. When he said 'no', I was very disappointed!

When I was about 4 I used to tell people I could run faster than a cheetah and when confronted to show them told them that I couldnt because I wouldn't have time to stop before I hit things on the other side of the field and hurt myself!

I was convinced that I could walk on air (like cartoon characters, they walk off a cliff and it's only when they look down and realise that they fall). I knew I could only do it if I really concentrated and had complete confidence, so I used to go up to my room and practice walking from on my bed across to a seat against the far wall. Eventually the complaints from my parents in the room below put a stop to this.

When I was about 5-7 I used to believe that I have this special ability to walk in the rain without getting wet. I believed that I could somehow avoid raindrops if I really wanted to and, especially, if I had my favourite sweatshirt on.

When I was 3, I saw wrestling on TV. (My dad was watching it) I kept
seeing them pick up their opponent, flipping them upside-down, and
smashing them into the mat. Naturally, I believed I should be able to, as
well. So I attempted it on my dog. My dog was a pretty big Schnauzer,
so all I succeeded in doing was ripping my dog's collar off, hurling it across
the room, and allowing it to strike my mom's head with extreme force.
I believed I could do that to anyone until I was 14.

When I was 13, I loved Dragonball Z. So I thought if I thought hard enough I could fly and make KameHameHa's. One day I was showing off to my friend, thinking I could make a KameHameHa like Goku did. I strained my muscles really hard and put my hands close to gether and yelled "Kame-Hame-HA!!!" but because I was trying so hard I ending up farting instead...

I was born in Kentucky and lived there for about 3 years. I had a playmate that I really loved. His name was Ges. Then my family moved to Illinois. I missed my friend so much that one night while standing out on our back porch of our new house, I yelled out his name. I figured that if I yelled loud enough, he could hear me back in Kentucky. I stood and listened for a reply, but none was heard.
