My brother (older) used to tell me that if I stayed under water long enough that when I ran out of air in my lungs that I could breathe through my pancreas! Well, I tried one day at the public pool, while my brother held me under water. I never struggled, as I believed him as I inhaled my first lungfull of water. After I was "brought back" by the lifeguard I really believed that the only reason that I survived was that I was breathing through my pancreas. I told everybody!

My friend Harriet was very gullable when she was little and believed anything her brothers told her.
She was once told that if she drank bleech, ran up and down the garden 100 times and jumped out her bedroom window, she would be able to fly.
Fortunately she never got to the jumping out a window part as she had to go to hospital to have her stomach pumped.

I used to think that i was special because even when i had my mouth closed, that nobody knew that i could breath out of my nose. I would think to myself, boy im going to win all of the holding your breath contests from here on out. hehe.

I once found a silver eagle pendant in the playground at school. I took it home and got it hot over the stove and burned in into my hand. This, of course, would unleash eagle-like superpowers that would render me invincable forever. I told my best friend about it, and that I was even "starting to feel the power". I later hung up on her mom that was calling to ask me why her child was trying to burn herself. I still feel a little super.

Every birthday, from the age of 4 until I was 8, when I blew out the candles on my birthday cake I would wish that I was "bionic". The next morning, when I woke up, I would be really excited about my new bionic powers and rush outside to test them by lifting the (suitably heavy) family car... It turns out that I hadn't become bionic after all.

I used to believe that I was one of nine stars who came to this solar system from God (who was the sun). We each went to our own planet and I was chosen to go to Earth. What I would at times do to fulfill my mission was stand in a weird X position with my legs and arms spread out (like pausing while your doing jumping jacks)so I would look like a star. This would allow magical powers to flow out of me and make the world a very happy place. My best imaginary friend was at first a strange-looking girl with purple hair and a pipe in her mouth who then when on to Venus and never saw me again because she was (or became) one of those nine stars. I even sadly missed her when she left. So weird!

I used to believe that i could move things with my mind. I remember at a wedding i went to when i was 5 i was moving balloons with my mind. They were floating in the air and when i commanded that they come down they would. It was only later when i watched the wedding video that i realized that the balloons were coming down because they were near an air vent. lol

When I was 4 my mum told me that I would be super strong if I eat spinach (just like Popeye). I didn't belived her so she said that we could arm wrestle after I eat it. I agreed and I won wvwry time... When I was 10, after long time, I ate spinach again and I asked her to arm wrestle. She told me that she let me win every time, and that that was for little kids... O_O I was SO disappointed..,

But I still like spinach...

When my big brother and I were little, we used to think that if we couldn't hear something, then our parents couldn't. So early in the morning when we didn't want to wake anyone up, we'd plug our ears when we were about to make a noise, you know... so -they- couldn't hear it either.

When I was six or seven, I used to believe that when you put a bag over your head and jump off a roof you could fly. It wasnt until i tried it did I realize humans can't fly.

I was so sure I was bionic that I gathered some schoolmates together to demonstrate my superhuman powers by pushing my school a few feet. To my great surprise, it didn't even budget.

When I was five or six, I first started becoming aware of the "floaties" in my eyes. I noticed I could see them better if I stared at a white background, like a wall or something, but they were really there all the time if I focused on them. I had no idea what they were, so it occurred to me that maybe I had some kind of super-powered vision and that they were actually atoms moving around in the air. I didn't want to tell anyone about it, because I thought if anyone knew I could see atoms, they'd want to take me to all these doctors and scientists so they could research me and find out how I did it.

I used to beleve that everybody except for me had the power to read my mind, so every time i was in a large crowd, i would focus my thoughts on things that would scare them so much, they would never want to read my mind again.

I used to think that when-ever I watched a movie at school every-body would see your thoughts, and I kept my hands on top of my head, so that no-one could see my thoughts. My kindergarten teachers were very concerned.

My brother told me he could lift the house up with his pinky. I believed him because he had reasonable excuses for not lifting it up. Like that there were poisonous snakes underneath the basement and they would eat me if he did.

When I was in second grade (8 years old), I was standing in line with the other kids to have the teacher check my work, and two boys and I started a contest to see who could hold their breath the longest. I filled my lungs with air, and held my breath for the rest of the time I was in line. The thing that amazed me was that I didn't even feel the need for air while holding my breath, I was just as comfortable as I had been while breathing. Needless to say, I thought I was really good at holding my breath, and wondered why no one else noticed how long I was doing that.
It wasn't until a couple of years later that I realized I had been breathing through my nose.
