when I was a kid we used to play hide and seek a lot. Ant until I was 5 I truly believed that if I didn't see the others they couldn't see me. So I would sit down behind a tree or something (easy to spot) with my hands in front of my eyes so I couldn't see. Everytime I was found right away I was really confused. how could the seeeker have seen me? I couldn't see him/her

When I was younger I could never grasp the idea of a person being colour blind, I didnt understand how this worked, did they only see in black and white? a little while later I learned a little more and it still confuses me today. Green-Red, Red-Green, pff, who knows.

I use to believe that if a sharp object punctured your eye it would pop like a bubble

I used to believe that every person saw colour completely differently. So, what looked like yellow to me actually looked like purple to someone else.
I really wanted to know about the colours that other people could see. I was kind of obsessed.

I had my own unique belief about the warning, "if you cross your eyes, they'll stick that way". I thought that there was a set time limit that everyone had, and every time I crossed my eyes I was counting down seconds off that time limit. Every time I crossed my eyes, I got a rush thinking I was getting closer to "zero hour" - and was this the time that they would stick!?!?

I was told that if you touch your pupil five times you would go blind. To date I have only touched it twice, both times before hearing this. Even at 41, I am unwilling to test this theory.

When I was young, I once thought that I could see bacteria. They didn't even look like real life bacteria, only green, big-eyed cartoon characters.

When I was small, i used to believe my mom when she said she had eyes in the back of her head. I always wondered because i thought her hair was in the way.

When I was little I thought that if I was hiding somehere and I couldnt see anyone, that noone could see me. I always got really confused when my siblings found me when i hid behind crappy places like behind a pole.
I even told my little sister too, that's how much I believed it. It wasnt' until i was 12 years old that I found out the truth

My sister Manda told me that every time I blinked or closed my eyes, my eyes rolled back to look the other way. I've no idea why she told me that!!

I guess I was told when I was young that if you crossed your eyes, they might stay that way. I believed this until I was in my late 30's, despite all experimental data to the contrary.

I had this weird muscle in my eye, not allowing it to look up, as in the top of my head. All other directions were great, but it wouldn't go up. I would send both eyes in different directions with it and scare my classmates until one day my grandmother yelled at me for it, saying that they would stick that way forever.
Remember drawing all over yourself as a kid? My aunt told me that the ink would get me sick and pencil lead wouldgive me lead poisoning and would kill me.

my friend megan has always provided me with laughs-- one day last year she came up to me, and wanted my opinion on something. she couldn't remember if she dreamed this or was taught this early-on in school... she thought that behind our eyes we had "eye sacks" that collected everything that was in our eyes...like the goop and stuff. she couldn't answer when i asked what happened when the "sack" got full!

also, until the middle of freshman year in high school, megan was CONVINCED that unicorns actually existed at one point, and they just went extinct or something!
