When i was 4 or 5 i remember telling my mother that she was by far my most favorite mother that i'd ever had. She laughed and told me she was the only mother that i had. No, i mean you my favorite of all the mothers i EVER had mom, from all my lives. i had been raised christan, to this day i don't know what i was thinking .

As a child I believed that if a character died in a film so did the actor playing them, though I knew that they were only actors. I asked my dad why film makers didn't just use criminals to play baddies as it wouldn't matter so much when they died. He was totally bemused. I just though it was part of the job if you were unlucky enough to get the role of a baddy.

Until I was maybe six or seven, I thought that when people died, they just repeated their lives over and over--like rewinding a videotape. When my grandmother was in a nursing home and made a comment about her hazy memories of being a teenager, I quite confidently told her that she'd be one again soon.
I believed my hamster died on 9/11 because of something I did wrong.

When I was small, and my mom was bathing me, she would say "let me wash your body" and then would proceed to wash my genital area. So,,, whenever I heard from the radio that a "body" was found I got a horrific picture in my young head and wondered what happened to the rest of dead person.

When i was 4, my uncle owned a farm where i spent weekends playing. One day i went to the pig pen only to find it empty? When i asked my uncle where the pigs had gone, he told me they had gone skiing and they would be back soon. Sure enough, each time the same thing happened and the pigs would return from skiing!
Never once did i question it!

When I was a kid I though heaven is a bunch of big antic temples (like in Aten or Rome.) placed on clouds.
When I saw big white clouds on sky I tryed hard to see some buldings on them.
Also I thought Angels(all ppl who died) and God loved to watch what ppl on earth are doing caz they could see throo walls. *Jesus had some smarter stuff to do.
So when night came there was no clouds on sky caz heaven went on other side of Earth, where it was sunny,so angles and God could see everything.
I somethimes felt very uncomftrible in bathroom thinking how God and my dead uncle are watching me...

I used to believe that it was possible that a panel full of half-starved sharks might open at the bottom of the deep end of the community pool right as i'm in mid-dive from the diving board.
I used to think that it would take forever to float up to Heaven because it was way up in the sky. I always pictured people floating up in space, and finally reaching the top.
