I used to hold my breath every time a stranger passed me on the streets because I thought that if they had cancer and I breathed in their air, I would get cancer too...and I would hold my breath as long as I could in old people's houses, because I thought the weird smell was death, and I would breath it in and die sooner.

My sister told me that if I died any other way than a gunshot, I'd go straight to heaven. But if I died from being shot, I'd have to wait for a month before I could go to heaven. I was so scared I'd get shot - I really didn't want to have to wait, and I could imagine being in the ground in intense pain, looking out through nmy coffin at the still living people, waiting for my month to be over.
I used to think that when people died they didn't really die they just left home and travelled around the world until they found another family they liked and settled down with them. I was quite insulted that no dead people decided to live with us!

After I learned to ride my bike I rode it all over the neiborhood. Unfortunetly my bike was not very good and the chain would often fall off. One day while riding down the street, my chain fell off. I was terrified because there was a car coming. I knew I was about to die. I closed my eyes and braced for impact. When I opened my eyes again the car was gone. I knew I had just died. I sat on the curb and started to cry. Finally one of my brothers started yelling for me to come home. I slowly walked home, wondering what they would say when they saw I was dead. When I got home, my brother asked why I was crying. I told him all about my death. He laughed at me, called me stupid and probably won't let me forget it until I actually do die.

So when i was about 8, my sister fainted on a car workshop because of sunstroke and i couldn't stop crying because i thought she was going to die the next time she fainted. When she woke up, i told her that "i'd take care of you so you won't die", she asked me what i meant and i told her. She laughed at me that she even forgotten about the heat and told me the real thing. I was in shock after she told me.
