If you don't hold your breath as you pass a cemetery you will die or become possessed.

When we would go on school trips in elementary school, a rumour went around that if you didn't hold you're breath when going past a cemetary, the souls of the dead people could enter your body with your breath. Also, when going over bridges, it was best to keep your feet off the floor in case the water rose and the bridge bacame flooded. That way your feet didn't get wet. Plus, we were convinced if you didn't duck your head when going under bridges and such, that the bridge would be too low and cut your head off.

We were morbid kids, but I still hold me breath when going past a graveyard.

When I was younger I thought that if you didnt hold your breath when you were driving past or walking past a grave yard then the ghosts of the grave yard would come and haunt you.

When I was little, my father once told me that while driving past a cemetary that you had to hold your breath or the spirits will be sucked into your lungs and you would be cursed with whatever that spirit had left over to complete in their lives.

When I was 4 my sister told me that if, when passing a cemetary, you breath in the air, the dead people will come back alive as ghosts or zombies and try to kill me for breathing around them. Up until I was 12 did I hold my breath around cemetaries, even though I knew it wasn't true when I was 11, just to be sure.

One time when I was little, we were passing a cemetary and my brother told me that the dead people would breathe on me if I breathed on them. Dead people can't breathe because they are dead. Sometimes when I pass buy the cemetary I still hold my breath.
