I used to believe that my grandma's tiny pistol would kill someone no matter where the bullet hit them. Kinda like a poisened bullet. I have now come to realize that my grandma's pistol wouldn't even kill a coyote. (We live in Texas, so it's not all that unusual for grandmothers to carry handguns.)

When I was little my cousin told me that when you go by a cemetary you have to hold your breathe. She said it saved a life. So, ever since she told me that to this day I still hold my breathe!

When I was about 7, my brother told me that if you write the name of a dead person in red, their ghosts will come and haunt you. Till today, I'm still afraid of writing the name of a dead person inred.

I used to believe that if I didnt place my hand on my heart and feel the heart beats it would suddenly stop. It horrified me then, waking up in another position (ie, hand somewhere else), not knowing how long my heart had stopped for. It did explain why you sometimes dreamed, that was when your hand was off your heart and you were slowly dying...
...I creeped myself out for the longest time

When we were kids playing Cowboys and Indians, when my brother was 'shot' he always 'died' lying on his back legs straight and with his arms out each side. Eventually I became cross with his lack of imaginative poses and asked why he always 'died' like that. It turned out that he believed that everyone went into that position when they died because that's how Jesus died on the cross.

i was at a funeral and mad a poem about my best friend in the world, i didn't cry and i knew god needed him. I saw him as an angel in the sky like his name was going to make him that, his name was Angel. From then on I believed that when everyone dies they become what they're name means

When I was a child, we lived on a street with a funeral home on the corner. For some reason, I, as well as several neighbor kids, seemed to think this was the only funeral home in town (our town was NOT that small). This led to speculation about what they did with the dead people while waiting for the funeral. We decided, since it wasn't a large place, that they stored them in a secret room under the parking lot. After deciding that, some of the kids didn't want to ride their bikes or skateboards in the lot, even though it was the best place around for practicing tricks.

While watching movies where someone died in an accident/fight (obviously a stunt man was used) I used to believe that the person was someone who didn't want to live anymore and had really died.

For years I believed that my great grandmother had been eaten alive by desert crabs and had recurring nightmares about it terrified that I might meet the same fate. She'd had cancer.

When I was little my mom brought me to the cemetery to see the graves of some of my relatives. I looked at some of the tombstones of married couples where one had died, but the other was still living, but marked on the tombstone. I asked my mom how people were able to survive even though they were buried alive.

When I was younger I was told never to watch any of my dads films because they were scary movies. When my dad had gone bed I sneaked downstairs and watched the clown film IT. From that day on I believe that everything I did the clown was trying to kill me like poisoning my food when no one was looking... of course only I knew about him but his plans never worked because my granddad (died from leukaemia) always stopped him. Now of course I laugh even at the thought of it! 😂😂😂
