When I was about 12 and my little cousin was 4, I told him that our grandma had died (meaning the grandma on his father's side). The only granda he new was his mother's mum, so he burst into tears, crying out: Grandma is dead!!!! I was well punished for scaring him! :S

i was watching a moive when i was about 9 when a baddie got 'STD' and was going to die. I asked my dad how someone got STD and he said that it was when people do naughty things. Up until about 16 i thought that if you were naughty you would catch STD and die.

Suppose it was one way to make sure i behaved!

I used to believe when I was in kindergarden that when you died you falled down on the ground with your hands and feets in a cross. You lied in a cross. With your thounge sticking out on the side..

So me and my friend used to play that we died, and that's how we died.

There were never many motorcyclists where I grew up so I guess I had seen something where a bad guy rode a motorcycle because one time I was peering out the window I saw somebody driving around my cul-de-sac on a motorcycle and then and there I knew I was going to die because it was a bad guy coming to get me. It was the worst feeling I had ever felt to this day.

When I was little I thought when you died your tongue would hang out of your mouth like a dog's tongue. So when my brother and I played cowboys and Indians and we got "shot" we'd fall to the ground with our tongues hanging out, except our tongues were pointed upwards and not downwards. I guess we didn't know about gravity at that time!

When I was little, I used to believe that my grandparents would never die & that only OTHER kids' grandparents died, not mine. Then they started passing away, starting with my grandfather when I was 9, & I learned that I could keep them alive in my heart. I'm 52 & can still "see & hear" them clearly in my mind. I will never forget any of them.

When I was around 9 my neighbor, sister and I sat down to play on the Uijji Board. We all closed our eyes and did the whole ritual. We supposedly met a man named "Fernando" who died in a freak balooning accident. I got really scared and asked all these serious questions like, "Do you think we should ask him if we could bring him back?! but he might make us kill someone!." I was really terrified, I tried talking to Fernando all the time after that. I now know it was nothing more than an immature prank. *sigh*

When I was 7, we would go to my grandmas grave and my brother used to tease me by saying,"Dont walk on other peoples graves, they will pull u under the ground and never let u go. u would never see mom or dad ever again." i believed him. i screamed and cried, and i asked my dad to carry me by piggy back. i told my dad what my brother said, he proved my brother wrong..

I used to belive when i was little that after i died, all the people who died before me came back to life, and after they died it would switch back to people of my time, and so on.

When I was very small I thought that people only died when they were very old and then in their sleep. I'd stay overnight at my grandmother's house in the bed where she and my grandfather used to sleep, and I used to lie awake all night imagining her waking up and trying to revive him (in the place where I lay, too). Only years later did I understand that my grandfather had been sick and died in a hospital (two years before I was born).

When I was little, I believed that when humans or animals died, they'd turn into another animal, plant or human.

For some odd reason, when I was a kid, I used to believe that if I died, I would still see the world through someone else's eyes, maybe like reincarnation, I don't know. But that ended one day when someone asked me if I can see the world through someone else's eyes when I'm asleep. Guess not. heh.

When I was about 7 years old, I remember when Elvis died, then later that week I heard on the car radio that another public figure had died. I then asked my mom, "How come more and more people are dying", She was patient and explained to me that it happens at the end of someones life and that it was normal and I was just becoming more aware of it. Looking at it now, that was pretty funny and I just wonder how my Mom didnt burst out into laughter. the patience of mothers!

This isn't mine but my uncle's. You see, my dad's family was poor and they all got one pop thing a week. One of his brother's saved it and another one drank it all at once. The brother that drank it all at once would drink the brother who saved it. So the one who saved it decided that he would save his old bottle and pee in it so when the other one tried to drink it he would learn a lesson. Well he forgot he peed in it and he drank it and when he remembered he was so scared he thought he would die! He ran all over the house crying histerically telling everyone he would miss them so much!!!!!!!
