I used to believe that if I ate the seeds of water melon, a watermelon plant would grow inside me like a beanstalk.

when i was younger i belived that if you eat "jelly Babies" you would have a baby (so i refused to eat them!) and i also belived if you eat "Love Hearts" you would get and extra heart.

only found out it was not true when i was given a huge pack of "Jelly Babies" for my birthday and i refused to eat them when i told her she burst out laughthing and promptly gave me the "how a women has a baby talk!!" i also got told about love hearts then as well!!

when i was little my mom told me and my brothers if we sucked to hard on a milkshake straw our ears would just suck into our head......well i beleived her till i was about 12......lol....

My mother always said that she thought that "turkey tetrazini" sounded like a disease. That might be one reason why I've never tasted that dish.

When my oldest son was little, he asked where chocolate milk came from. Without batting an eye, I said, chocolate cows. He said so does that mean vanilla milk (white) comes from vanilla cows? He's now 20 and still slips up and says he wants vanilla milk.

I used to believe…

When I was a kid, I always saw people putting salt on their food before they ate it. For years, I thought that salt was used to cool food down, not knowing it was a spice.

I used to beleive when i was really little, before i could blow bubbles with bubblegum, that only adults could blow bubbles. I thought that they had a special thing in their mouth that blew air into the gum and shaped it into a bubble!

My mom would take me to McDonald's all the time when I was younger. I wouldn't eat the ends of the french fries because they were hard and I thought they were bones.

when i was little i thought that if u swalowed a watermelon seed that a watermelon would grow in your tummy and since the watermwlons are big i tought i was gonna explode.lol

I WAS TOLD THAT OF YOU SWALLOWED GUM, IT WOULD WRAP AROUND YOUR HEART AND KILL YOU

I used to belive that if you swallowed gum then it will stick to your butt and your butt will stick together which will not let you poop! I always used to swallow my gum and my mom told me that so I wont choke!

I used to believe it took 7 years to digest swallowed gum. If that was really the case then I would have over 8,000 pieces of gum wadded up inside of me. 3 pieces a day x 7 days a week x 52 weeks in a year x 7 years really adds up. It is gross that I swallow that much but it is just a habit. Now I think I believe that the gum swallowing has saved me from many accidents and health problems. They will probably find someday that it is actually good for you!!!!!

When I was little whenever someone would suggest going to "Steak and Shake" my dad would always say "Nah I think we should go to "Snake and Quake" and I would beg him not to mak us go in fear of having to eat a snake.

My dad once ate a pumpkin seed and his older brother told him that it would grow inside his stomach until it got so big he would explode. He sat on top of the fridge crying until his mom came home and calmed him down.
