Someone I knew used to believe that if you swallowed gum it would make a bubble and block food from going into your stomach, thus killing you. Much to my relief, I had discovered eventually that for swallowing gum to be bad for you, you would have to swallow about 7 pieces a day for about a month. I was a weird kid.

Since adults liked to drink alcohol so much, I figured it must be the most delicious drink ever. When I had my First Communion at 7 years old I took a sip of the wine and was horrified. It was the most disgusting thing I had ever tasted! I could barely make myself swallow the sip. After that I really didn't know why anyone would voluntarily drink alcohol. Now I know better.

When I was about 5 years old, I used to get the eggs out of the refrigerator, take one out of the box and sit on them or hide them in the back of the couch. I always wanted a baby chicken, but mum wasnt happy when she had to remove at least 10 runny eggs from the lounge.

Although up until about the age of 7, I thought she was saying spit pea soup, and I would get very disgusted that there was spit in it, but would eat it anyway because it was so good. I also though that grilled cheese sandwiches were girled cheese sandwiches, and once I asked for a boyed cheese sandwich!

When I was really little, I would sneak Saltine Crackers into my room at night so I would have something to munch on if I got hungry. I would lay the crackers on my shelf and in the morning, bits of the cracker were missing and there were ants all over the place. I was convinced that ants had hatched out of the cracker crust and I had a very hard time eating crackers after that.
