when i was about 7 years old my family wanted to go to Ryans for dinner. i after i ate me plate, i went to the desert bar and i had seen some nice, red jello. i got a BIG bowl full and when i got back to the table, my twin sister said, "do you know what jello is made out of?" i said no. my sister said that it was made from pig skins. i just look at my BIG bowl of jello and i didnt eat it. my mom was talking bout the children who didnt have food to eat and i was selfish to waste my food. i didnt eat jello untill i was 12 years old.

I used to think the International House of Pancakes really was a house made out of pancakes, and that there was one in every country around the world. That's why it was international.

When I was about eight I asked my older cousin if I could have some of his candy (called Toffifay). He said, "No, it's only for adults." I didn't realize that nothing stood in my way to buy it myself for years. Come to think of it my cousin isn't that much older than me.

There is a resturant/fastfood place here called Whataburger. When I was about 5 or so, I though it was called Waterburger and thougth the burger's were made of water, and never them. My sister thought too and one day we were talking about it in front of my husband and he said he thought that too when he was little. How funny

When my mother and her siblings got their first horse my grandma told them that if they ate pickles, the horse wouldn't run fast (to keep them from eating pickles that were said at the time to be bad for you). My grandma believes that to this day not only are her children not crazy about pickles, but that they still believe on some level, if you eat pickles, your horse won't run fast!

I learned my first 'naughty' words in the 6th grade. I also stopped eating fish-sticks in the 6th grade. If you say fish-sticks fast enough they sound a little gross... I still can't get myself to eat them.

My mother turned me into the most paranoid freak when I was little. She would tell me not to eat those cherries on top of ice cream sundaes because the dye would give me cancer! I would always take the cherry off the top of the sundae, but the whipped cream on top would be dyed red from the cherry. I would eat the red whipped cream anyway, but I always thought I was going to die from it!

When I was a little kid, I didn't always finish my meals. So one day, my cousins told me that the air bubbles in the piza crust were filled with candy, so I would eat all the way to the crust. And, of course, I believed them. I would get to the crust of the pizza, bite down on a bubble, and say, "That tasted like a Tootsie Roll!"

I used to believe that Limabeans would kill you if you didn't eat them.
I flushed them down the toilet.

I lived with my grandparents growing up and my grandma loved to bake. Every time she would make cookies, i would sneak dough out of the bowl before she baked them. Whenever I got caught my grandpa would tell me not to eat it because a tapeworm would grow in my stomach and that my worm would move around in my stomach to try and get out. It didnt scare me enough to not eat the dough, but then I would lie down with my hand on my stomach trying to feel the worm moving

As a child I believed that hamburgers were called handburgers because you held them in your hands. After my sister corrected me, I then decided that the meat must be ground ham. Made sence to me!

I believed that linguini was made of tape worms and was scared to eat pasta for a long time!

I remember my mother telling me that I would grow potatoes in my ears if I didn't clean them. I didn't want to eat potatoes for a long time after that, for fear of whose ears she harvested them from!
