When I was a child, I found out that opium was derived from poppy seeds. When our neighbor invited us over for lunch and served sandwiches on poppy seed rolls, I was horrified that she would be so blatantly attempting to drug us. I carefully brushed every one of those poppy seeds off my roll before eating it.
