(i did the same thing at lunchtime in kindergarden, no wonder i was unpopular)

When I was little my sister told me that apple juice was actually pee. I asked her if it was true and she said "no, I was just kidding" i continued to drink the apple juice I had and she gave me a look as if she was serious about it being pee. I screamed and ran out of the room crying. She was really cruel. I actually love apple juice now and drink it all the time.
When I was about 4 years old, my older cousin told me that the little brown spots on tortilla chips and Fritos were actually moles off off old people's butts. I didn't eat them again until I was 11 or 12.
You know those little black seeds in watermelons? I used to spend hours making sure I picked them all out of every slice because I was terrified that if I swallowed one I would grow a pumpkin out of my belly button.

My dad didn't like me chewing gum when I was little because I'd always swallow it. He told me that its against the law to swallow gum until you're 16 because you'd die. And being the smart child I was, I educated everyone I saw chewing gum about the matter.
When I was about 4 my grandmother told me that eating carrots helped me to see in the dark. I somehow misheard this as 'carrots make your eyes glow in the dark.' Needless to say, I immediately gobbled my veggies down and was very dissapointed when my eyes failed to light up the room that night.
I used to believe that because oranges are called oranges, then bananas are called yellows, and watermelons are called greens. The only thing was I couldn't work out what an apple was called because they come in two different colours; would they be a redgreen?
I thought that olives grew with that red pimento already in them. Then I somehow rationalized that as they ripen the red pimento became a pit. That's why black olives sometimes have pits.
My parents told me once that if I eat the black watermelon seeds then a watermelon will grow in my tummy. I thought that was cool!

After swalloing a pip I was really worried about growing an orange tree out of my mouth and also how I was going to break the news to my Mum.
