When I was little, I heard my mother call my belly button a "navel." A few days later, she offered me a navel orange. I was convinced that it was some sort of belly button fruit and from then on I spent hours cleaning out my navel with Q-tips and antiseptic.

Remember Pop Rocks, those little candies that used to "explode" in your mouth? When I was 6, a friend told me that if you mixed those with soda and drank it, you'd blow up. My older brother put some into my cup of Sprite when I wasn't looking once and told me with a smirk after I had taken a long sip. I was so upset that I ran crying to my room and laid there for hours, convinced I was going to die and cursing my brother's name for all eternity. When I heard my stomach rumble from hunger, I believed I was in the final moments of my life and I started screaming so loudly my neighbors called the cops because they thought something was seriously wrong.

So whenever we had some each of us would eat a stick and then go to my couch and stand at the top of the couch and jump off. We thought it would give us the ability to fly.

When I was about 3 years old, Gatorade was only available in one flavor - my mom had always told me that Gatorade came from squeezing gators - we live in the South, so this made sense to me - however, we were in the grocery one day, and lo and behold, new flavors of Gatorade. She says that I turned to her, put one hand on my hip, gestured toward the juices with the other, and said, "How do you explain all of these?" She did - some come from southern gators, some come from northern gators, and some comes from crocodiles.

When i was little i used to believe that the nastier the food the better it was 4 u so i once made this horrible dish it was spinach peanut butter covered in pepto bismol *yech* my mom threw up just from the smell

When I was around four or five I heard people say "candy floss" alot. My mom is REALLY serious about keeping teeth clean, so she makes me floss very night. And I thought "candy floss" was floss that tasted like sweet candy! So I got upset that I flossed very night with boring floss. After that I always looked in the store to see if they had candy floss, but all I found was regular floss. Once I asked a clerk where the candy floss was, and he showed me a basket piled high with cotton candy. I thought, "What a moron! Doesn't he know what candy floss is?" Now, though, I know better...

When i was smaller, I used to think that milk was white cow urine. I didn't know cows did not pee through their utters at that age! This idea led me to wonder wether or not other animals' urine is nutritious...
