When I was in elmentary school we had the deal where they gave you the talk about drinking, smoking, and all those other bad for you things. When they began talking about "drinking alcohol" I thought they meant the rubbing alcohol. I was disgusted and confused. I thought that stuff burns who would ever want to drink it?

When I was little, I used to drink a lot when I ate. So, in an effort by my mom to get me to slow down on the drink and get more food in me, she would tell me that "if I drank too much I would float away". I pictured drinking too much and the house filling up with fluid and me floating away in it, right out the door. It definately slowed down my drinking during meals.

When my brother and I were younger (he is older) we used to play a game called blowing bubbles (with bubble gum) and one day we were playing blowing bubbles and he made a super large bubble and then he leaned down, only to pop the bubble in his belly button. Needless to say it took about an hour to get all the gum out of his bellybutton.

One day when I was about 6 or 7, I was at the grocerey store with my mom. After we had paid for the food, I read the receipt (I loved reading them, don't ask why). The food names are abreviated to save space, so instead of seeing "Swanson Chicken Pie" on the receipt, I saw "Swan Chick Pie". Naturally, being the animal lover that I am, I didn't want to eat a pie made out of baby swans! So I declared to my mom, "I'm never eating little swans, and you can't make me!" After she finally figured out what I was talking about, she burst out laughing. I'll never live that one down.

I used to believe that butter cooled hot foods. Every time I couldn't eat something because it was too hot I would put butter on it and wait for it to cool. By time I ate whatever I was eating it was cool so therefore I kept believing that butter cooled hot foods.

I used to believe that when chewing gum lost its taste it wasn't sticky. I stuck some flavourless chewing gum in my hair and it stuck. I hid it from my mum because I knew she would freak out. After 2 weeks she noticed and I had to have a huge chunk of my hair cut out.

I used to believe that if you chewed and then swallowed your gum, you would not be able to poop for a week. I was 10.
