I used to belive that haggis was a creature in the scottish highlands that had short back legs and long front legs and ran up hills only to fall down again. It was about the size of a rabbit. My history teacher told me this and he also said that there were official haggis-hunting seasons. So sad.

When i was a little girl of 5 years, my dad was very interested in Tai Chi. He would do his excersizes and then get himself something to drink and sit with me. One time he was making juice and I asked him what kind it was. He told me it was concentrated juice, like the ones in the can where you add water. My daddy asked why I wasn't having any juice, and I replied "But that's your juice to help you concentrate!" thinking of the hard Tai Chi excersizes he was doing and how he told me and my brother never to bother him while he was doing them...hehe

When my sister was about 4 years old, and I was 14, I played a mean trick on her...We had just finished our dinner and I went into the kitchen to get the pudding. She came in to find me holding an Arctic Roll. "What's that?" She asked. I said (I really don't know why) "It's a little creature...called a Fuzzy Mammoth. I found it on my way back from school. I'll just go and show mum..." I took the Arctic Roll into the dining room, and my sister came and sat down. Of course, my mum picked up an enormous knife to cut it with, and my sister absoloutely screamed until she realised I'd been playing the trick. She thought my mum was going to slaughter a little innocent animal!

When I was 10 or so my dad told me that freezer burn on ice cream gave you cancer. I never questioned this belief and held onto it subconsciously until I was 17. Whenever I saw freezer burn on ice cream I'd either a) eat around it or b) put it back in the freezer, never thinking that maybe I should either not eat around cancer or maybe even throw it out. It was when I wondered "why don't we throw it out, then?" that I realized maybe he had been joking.

I used to believe that is you cooked eggs the wrong way you would fry your brain on drugs, because of that old public service ad that said, "this is your brain, this is your brain on drugs," and then they would crack and fry an egg.

This may not fit into the subject, but when I was little, I always wanted to try cartoon pizza (from teenage mutant ninja turtles) cause I thought it would be better than regular pizza. It looks good, doesn't it?
