When I was little my best friend and I believed that if we drank each others drinks our voices would change to the other person. For example if I drank her drink after she drank it my voice would sound like hers.

When I was about 5 years old my older brother told me tapioca pudding was made out of fish eyes and that what the bubbles on top were. I never ate tapioca pudding again. I'm now 23 and even though I know it's not made of fish eyes it still grosses me out.

My grandparents as well as parents all told me that if i swallowed the watermelon seeds, it'll start to grow inside my stomach and a watermelon tree will grow through the top of my head. Naturally, the theory applied to all other fruits.
I still don't understand what's the big deal with swallowing the seeds? is there really any harm at all?

As a child I was told that if I swallowed chewing gum it would stick to my ribs and I wouldn´t be able to breath and die. I guess that's why there is so much chewing gum stuck under school desks!

You know how when you make jello, it is first in a liquid form? Well when i was little i would drink that when i got thirsty and my brother would always tell me the jello will sit in my stomach and i would explode. Well that night he got spaghetti, ketchup and jello and put it all over the inside of my bed so i would think i exploded...
Needless to say, i beleived it. Now i'm 24 years old and i still won't go near jello

My grandfather always had really curly hair, and he would tell me that eating the crust on sandwiches makes your hair curly! He always tried to use that as an excuse not to eat the crust!

My mom used to always make grilled cheese sandwiches for me to eat for lunch. I used to think they were called Girl Cheese sandwiches, and one time when my dad wanted one, I told him no, and said that Girl Cheese sandwiches are for girls ONLY!

My brother was never the nicest kid in the world. It didn't help that when I was younger, I was also gullible enough to do just about anything. So, naturally, when my aunt sent one those wreaths made from dried chile peppers, my brother had to take advantage of it. He told me that the seeds tasted just like bubblegum, which I was pretty obsessed with then. So, I unwittingly ate at least a spoonful of them, not remotely tasting the bubblegum that had been promised. I was rather sick for the rest of the day. I did get back at my brother, though, as I threw up all over him.
