When I was about 4 my mum caught me stealing peanuts that she had put out for the birds, to stop me she said they were poisonous to humans. I was sceptical but stopped eating them to be on the safe side. What we didn't realise was that my little sister had also been stealing them. She was firmly convinced that she was going to die and too scared to tell my mum she'd also been eating them. She still isn't fond of peanuts.
When I was really little, I used to belive that french fries were made of fish. It made sense to me because, like the sole mom often made them with for dinner, they were white inside.
I was told the milk was good for your teeth so naturally I used to swish it around in my mouth. I guess I was trying to coat my teeth until my Mom saw me doing it and explained how milk was helping me grow strong bones and teeth...Ahhhhhhhhh
I use to think you only got orange soda from a happy meal and that the only type of drink you got with a happy meal was orange since that is the only time my mom would let me have it.

When my sisters and I were young and our dad would want us to eat something.. he would say "Eat it, it'll grow hair on your chest".. so we would eat.. it wasn't until much later that I thought about this and realized that hair on my chest wouldn't be a good thing considering I'm a female!
I believed that if I swallowed a seed from any kind of fruit that the fruit would grow in your stomach. OnceI swallowed a watermellon seed and was scared to death that a watermellon was going to grow inside me. It took a lot of convincing by my parents to convince me it wouldn't.
When I was young my older cousin convinced me that as the youngest person in the family, I was supposed to eat underneath the table because that's where my food would taste best. Being an only child, my parents humoured me rather than starting a fight because I was cleaning my plate every night. When we went to a restaurant even, I would have to have my food given to me under the table. My parents tell me there were lots of strange looks and questions as they took a plate of food off the top of the table and passed it underneath.
