My big sister insisted that cinnamon (sugar) and pepper were the same thing. I tried some pepper and spit it out. Then she convinced me that it tasted differently on different parts of the tongue. Thoughout my childhood I always moved pepper around in my mouth trying to get it to taste like cinnamon.

When i was little there used to be an advert where a man rolled up some snow and turned it into a chocolate mint cream to give to his girlfriend. I was convinced that was how they were made & for the next couple of years, every time it snowed i used to try & make them! I was SO frustrated that i just couldn't get it right. Deary me!

When I was around 8 or 9 years old, I went over a friend's house and I saw that there were tons of cans laying around her back yard by the BBQ pit. They were Red Bull cans, but I thought they were beer cans because they looked a lot like what my parents and their friends drink. When I asked my friend about them, she told me her dad drinks at least five a day. After that I was a little scared to go over her house when her dad was home because I thought he was an alcoholic!
