When i was younger, in summer i would constantly eat mangoes. it was all i wanted to eat. Once my mum saw me hacking into about 3 mangoes at once and told me that one day i would eventually turn into a mango. Since i was only about 3 or 4, i believed her and was terrified. the next day at preschool my friend was eating a mango and i matter-of-factly told her that she would turn into a mango.
To this day i still hear laughter in my ears.

My aunt told me when I was little that the wavy heat coming from the road meant you were thirsty. For years when we were all in the car together, all of us kids would say “Look, I’m thirsty!” The adults would roar with laughter, and I never could figure out why. Till much later that is.
I believed clouds were vanilla ice cream.
I used to think that grilled cheese sandwiches were "girl cheese" because mom always offered me them, and that if my dad were ever to get one it would be a "boy cheese"

When I was young I would play grocery store in our family's pantry. I realized one day they list the ingredients on the labels of food products and assumed this was a recipe. I couldn't for the life of me understand why you would put the recipe of your product on the back of your product, and why, for that matter, my mom would buy it instead of just making it herself!
