Some years back, I bought this video game (yes, I still play those) where you would go around and collect different types of weapons and armor. Now, I'd known for some time that gherkins are pickles, but I didn't really know how gherkin was spelled. So, when I found a type of armor called a "jerkin" (apparently some sort of padded leather suit) I thought "what...? Why is there pickle armor in this game?!" I was really embarrassed when my friend told me otherwise.

I used to believe that when it came to wine, women only drank white wine and men only drank red wine. This because my dad alwasy drank red wine and if my mum took a glass of wine, it was white wine. Somewhere along the road, I gave up believing this, and now that I myself drink wine of both kinds, I know how silly it is.

When me and my sister were kids, we thought all food had to either be a vegetable or an animal. One day at dinner we had pizza, and got into an arguement over whether it was vegetable or animal.

I said it was a vegetable, and pictured things like watermelons growing on trees, and when you sliced them, that's where pizza came from. But my sister said pizza was an animal. I dont know how she could've thought that, but it's funny to imagine little pizzas on legs running around and people hunting them...

My brothers and I watched a pig dissection on TV when we were really little. When they cut open the pig, the liquid that came out looked like apple juice. So for a while I assumed that apple juice came from inside dead pigs.

No wonder I don't like apple juice...
