When I was eight or nine I thought it was so cruel to eat lamb roast, because it was a baby lamb. So mum and dad told me it was only the sick lambs that died of natural causes that were used for lamb roasts, while the healthy lambs were left to live happily ever after

When I was in elementary school, I saw an episode of The Magic School Bus, in which a character's skin turned orange ater eating alot of carrot-like snacks. I figure that it would be cool to be orange so I took out a bag of baby carrots and binge ate them. I didn't turn orange but I did get sick!

My parents were fond of telling me that the crust on a slice of bread was the healthiest part of the bread. I was required to always eat the crust because of this "fact." It was not until a jr high chemistry class that I realized that bread crust was composed of the same ingredients as bread and therefore could not possibly be more nutritious.

The only reason I found out that pickles were actually cucumbers... was watching Veggie Tales with my seven-year-old sister. She kept insisting it was and I kept telling her to shut up because she didn't know what she was talking about. Imagine her triumphant glee when she found out that I found out I was wrong! I had to have been about tweleve at the time and thought they were some type of mutated green vegetable that grew on the ocean floors...

When I was about ten, a friend of mine, who was a few years older, and whose mother was a pediatrician, told me that if you eat ramen, it temporarily makes your stupider. She said she only ate ramen during summer break so that she'd be smart when she was at school. I seriously believed her for a few months, then I went back to eating ramen. Sometimes I can still feel it shutting down my brain when I eat it.

You know those hard round lumps you sometimes find in a chicken nugget? I had heard something when I was about 6 or 7 about breast cancer lumps and thought that since the chicken nugget box said "made with all breast meat" I thought those lumps were breast cancer and if I ate it I would get breast cancer too
I used to believe that when you shook a soda bottle ( like a liter size) it would explode and flood the whole room. so i decided that i wanted a explosion of sprite, so i took a liter of sprite (unopened) and shook as much as i could, and when i opened it, it exploded all in my face. and unfortunately not flooding the whole room

My uncle told me when i was little that chinese duck sauce was made from duck brains. God help me, i didn't try duck saunce until i was 17.
I remember when my older sister was eating a store-bought sandwich. I asked her what kind it was. Trying to gross me out, she said it was a roach sandwich. "See those little thingies there? Those are the wings", she said. I believed her for a few weeks. Then I realized that it wasn't a roach sandwich after all, so I started to buy those sandwiches and pretended they had roaches in them. I said, "Look, Sis, I'm eating a roach sandwich".

I used to believe jelly fish were made from jelly, and refused to eat jelly for years. My eldest sister told me that one!
