I was told by my grandma that my hair would
go curly if I ate my crusts, a good ploy you may think, except I didn't want curly hair. I spent years not eating my crusts until my mum asked me when I was about 8 or 9 why I didn't eat them at which I revealed thaat "I don't want curly hair."

When I was little I would ask for the crust cut off my sandwiches and my friend's grandma would always tell me if I ate the crust it would give me curly hair. My hair was stick straight when i was a kid and now it's curly so maybe there is some truth to it.

When I asked why he did eat the crust on his sandwich, my 7-year old nephew informed me it was because it made his hair curly. (He has extremely curly blond hair, which he hates but is the envy of every woman he meets!)
