My brother hated the seeds in green peppers. So, to make sure I didn't let any seeds make there way into a salad, he told me they were poisonous and that eating even one would kill you. Sadly, I very cautiously removed all seeds from green peppers until I was about 12!

my mom always told me if you swallowed the watermelon seeds while eating a piece, a watermelon plant would grow out of your stomach..

My mum told me that the pips in kiwi fruit were highly poisonous... I loved kiwi fruit, but spent hours on each one picking out the pips....tw*t!!
