A grown-up once told me when I was eating watermelon to never swallow the seeds or they would grow in my belly. The grown-up then pointed out a pregnant woman and said she had swallowed a watermelon seed. I was VERY careful everytime I ate watermelon that I didn't swallow a single seed!

My grandparents as well as parents all told me that if i swallowed the watermelon seeds, it'll start to grow inside my stomach and a watermelon tree will grow through the top of my head. Naturally, the theory applied to all other fruits.
I still don't understand what's the big deal with swallowing the seeds? is there really any harm at all?

My mother said that if you swallowed a watermelon seed, a watermelon tree would grow on your head. I would try hard not to, but whenever I think I accidentally did, I constantly checked the mirror...of course, the tree never grew =(

One time when i was young, about 4 or 5 my dad had an obbsession with sunflower seeds, and still does, i soon inherited this obsession. He told me one day to only eat the seed. Because if i ate the sheel i would poop it out and it would hurt alot. And still to this day i have never ate the shells......
