My farther told my brother and i that when you eat a doughnut (the kind with loads of sugar on) you wern't aloud to lick your lips or fingers untill you where finished! he would then delight it watching us try accomplish this!
(it's even harder than it sounds)
i sometimes look at the ingredients of things when im bored. one day when i was young i was reading the ingredients of Smarties. one ingredient said 'carnouba wax' or something. i thought it was wax that was used to wax cars! so i never ate them til i figured out that it was just the stuff that makes a shiny cover around each smartie
When I was small the sweets called "Smarties" had a slogon "watalotigot". I thought this was another name in another language for the sweets. But it actually says "What alot I got".
When my mom was little, a family friend told her that candy corn (her favorite candy) would grow into a plant and produce more candy if she planted it. She and her sister wasted an entire bag of candy corn.
When i was young, i used to watch the TV commercials of "gushers" and believe that my head would actually turn into watermelons and other fruits if i ate them
When I was a little girl, I used to believe a snake was born in my belly if I eaten sugar. I was scared ans I didn't want to eat sugar until I was 12 years old.
I used to think the gemstone opal was like opal fruits and wanted to eat one.

I used to believe that the middle of Cadbury's Cream Eggs was a real baby chick and used to cry when i saw them in shops!
My parents got me with "marsh melons." I used to believe that marshmallows grew on vines in swampy areas, kind of like pumpkins, and that there were whole marshmallow farms like cranberry bogs. Little did I know it was a Star Trek joke!
WHen my parents told me not to eat alot of candy cause I could be bouncing off the walls I didnt eat any more candy form when I was like 5 to 15 cause I thought I would literally bounce around the house off the walls!!!
When I was little my grandmother told me that blue Smarties tasted bitter and only grown ups liked the taste. Now, of course, I realise she was conning me out of chocolate. That will always be my funniest memory of her.
My first taste of Gushers was when I was like nine. And I was very hesitant about it because I thought you could really turn into a fruit if you ate them. But I kept thinking "Okay come on that's ridiculous it can't be true" and I ended up eating them. The only problem with them is that they taste like dirt.
I used to think black forest gateau really would be that colour, like blackberries, blackcurrants or black chocolate.
When I was little.. I went to the fun fair with my father, my mother and my sister. The fun fair was funny. But I was afraid of cotton candy because I used to believe they were spider webs and was extremely afraid of spiders. Now I think it's ridiculous because cotton candy is delicious.

every friday my brother and i would get a 50cent mixture (50 cents worth of lollies in a little paper bag).i remember when mum told me that not every kid got lollies on fridays and this made me very confused because i thought that the whole world did it, not just my family
