When I was little, my stepmother told me that if I ate a watermelon seen, I would grow a big fat watermelon in may tummy and I would get really sick. Well, I had a watermelon eating contest and tried very hard not to eat any, but then I started to feel sick because I thought I ate one and so it had me scared to death!!

top belief!

My belief is a common one; I used to think watermelons would grow inside my belly if I ate watermelon seeds. What is weird is that I'd try to eat all the seeds, wet my belly and lay on the sun to try and make the watermelon grow.

I thought pregnant women had done that successfully.

I just found out three days ago, that it worked. My "watermelon" is now growing inside my tummy.

My mom was pregnant with my little brother..

It was fourth of July and we were eating watermelon. I had swollowed most of the seeds and my mom says "You should be careful Melissa, Eating watermelon seeds makes you grow watermelons like this" And she pointed at her stomach.

So ever sense I am sure to spit out the seeds when eating watermelon.

When I was a kid, I didn't bother spitting out melon seeds, and swallow them instead. When my Aunt caught me at it, she told me that plants will start growing in my stomach. I used to imagine it coming out of my mouth the next morning...

Until I was about 7 or 8, I used to believe that if you ate a watermelon seed you would end up growing a watermelon inside your tummy... I didn't realize that the women "growing watermelons" were actually just pregnant.

I used to believe that if you ate watermelon seeds, a watermelon would grow in your stomach. It made sense to me because i just thought that a pregnant woman ate some watermelon seeds by accident.

When I was 4 my 5 year old brother told me if I swallowed a watermelon seed and then ate some
dirt that I could grow a watermelon in my stomach.
So natually I did it. I looked at my belly and could've
swore that it was growing. I got scared and told my
mother about it and she said that I would be OK and I couldn't grow a watermelon in my stomach.
But for a long time I still thought there might be one
growing in there.
