watermelons

this is probably common but I thoght if you ate a watermelon you'd turn into green and the symtoms were...

-You start turning green
-You lose your insides
-You have white stripes

My sister who is 40 years old, mind you, just told me that she heard long ago that if you eat watermelon and lie down, you will die. I said from what? She says you drown somehow? Duh?! How is that possible??? She is 40 and still believes this!

I used to believe that if you ate those watermellon looking seeds on a sausage pizza that it would grow and get very large, I guess that is why I like the pepperoni and the cheese better.

I used to think that watermelon seeds would blow your stomache up if you ate one,and one time I did .I thought I was going to blow up until my mom,and dad explained to me.

I accedently swallowed a watermelon seed on time when i was about 5 and my sister and brother both convinced me it would grow inside of me, and get bigger and bigger until the green leaves came out my nose and my ears and my mouth, and eventually I would die. And there would be a perfectly good watermelon inside of me! EW!

I used to believe that the white part on the watermelon (right after the pink part) was horribly poisonous. Everytime I ate watermelon I made sure to stay away from the white part!
I believed this up until last year when I was at a birthday party and my friends said I was crazy!

when i was little i some1 told me that there was a specific number of black watermelon seeds you could swallow ( i think it was 3) after that you would choke and die.

when I was little I use to think if you swallowed a watermelon seed you would have a baby( my mom was pregnant with my brother at the time)

When I was little my grandfather told me that if you swallowed a watermelon seed a baby would grow in your belly. Black seeds made black babies, and white seeds made white babies. When I went to my older & wiser 12 yr old aunt upset that I was going to have a baby after accidently swallowing a seed, she explained that you could only have a baby if a boy and girls pee-pees touched. For a long time after that I was scared to pee in a toilet without first flushing it, thinking there might be some boy pee in it and make a baby.

WHEN I WAS IN PRE-SCHOOL I WOULD START CRYING WHEN I SWALLOWED A SEED, CUZ I THOUGHT A PLANT WOULD START GROWING IN MY STOMACH, AND WHEN THE SPRPOUT GOT TO MY MOUTH IT WOULD BE SO BIG I'D NOT BE ABLE TO CLOSE MY MOUTH.

When I was about 4 I used to believe that when you swallowed a seed from any fruit or vegetable that it would grow in your stomcah.

I was a very inquisitive child. When my older sister was pregnant she told me it was because of watermelons. I was like WHY?! She explained on how when you eat the seeds they go into your belly and it grows & grows and then out comes a baby. I was like HOW?! She told me that it was like real watermelon. The baby comes out attached to this vine and the outside stays inside for other babies to grow in the next time she ate the seeds of a watermelon. Needless to say I was scared of watermelon for years! And to this day I don't eat watermelon seeds & of course discovered the 'reality of reproduction' when I was much older.
