When i was younger(about 5) my brother told me you had to marry someone with the same middle name. My middle name is lee and the only other person i knew with the same middle name was an annoying little boy in my school. When I was little, my dad told me that he was transforming into a welk after he pricked his finger on a thorn in our garden. Me and my sister got really upset about it and started crying. We used to make him little "I love you" presents just in case he turned into a welk any time soon.

When I was under five, I used to think that there were people who were squished btween the ceiling and the roof of dept stores, like Sears, and their job was to give all the announcements through the speakers in the ceiling. I pictured them laying down in the dark, yelling through those speakers, like "Clean-up in aisle seven.."

I thought everyone worked in a hospital. Granted, both my parents worked in a hospital and so did many of their friends and our relatives, so it seemed to be all adults talked about, but I don't know how I thought, you know, cars got built and books got written and stuff. It didn't fit, so I disregarded it I guess.

I always believed that a radio station was the best place to work.... afterall, all those musical stars there all day, everyday, just stopping by to sing one of their songs! What job could be greater?!

I used to believe…

when i was little i was convinced my parents were trying to poison me, so every time they put a drink on the table for me and my brother i would take the one with less in cos i thought it would be the one with no poison. i have no idea why i thought this!

I used to think my babysitter was the luckiest person ever, because she was really old (in high school) and still lived with her mother.

when i was little, i didnt really understand the concept of job wages (like most american kiddies) and when we went to a store,i thought the clerk at the counter got all the money from whatever you bought (say you bought a shoe for 5 dollars, the clerk would get the money). then my mom said that they didnt get the cash from the things you bought, but they were payed on an hourly bases. so then i was confused. cause why were there were commercials for stores on t.v. if everyone was payed at an hourly rate?

I used to believe that people grew backwards, too. My older sister complimented me on a dress, for instance, and I told her I'd put it away for her for "when she was my age".
Maybe I had some early knowledge of reincarnation... or perhaps I just watched too much "Mork & Mindy".

I used to believe…

When I was 3 years old, I thought that you could switch genders as you grew up. People with dominant personalities would become male adults while people with passive personalities would become female adults.

I used to believe…

When I was younger a new neighbor moved in next door. My mom told me one day that she was a "head hunter". I spent the next few years scared to death of this woman, afraid that every night she would sneak into my room and steal my head. It wasn't until much later that I learned "head hunters" actually found jobs for people.

I used to believe…

When i was little i was a really big tomboy...so i had the thought that when you grew up you would become the opposite sex(boys turn into girls and vice versa)...until i was about 6 i was extrememly disturbed that my dad used to be a girl.

when i was age 3-6 my mom babysat all my friends for a living. we debated between 2 theories for marriage, one was that you had to marry the person if you kissed them, the other was that you had to marry someone if you went on a date with them. I flatly refused to believe the first and whenever one of my friends told me that, i remember correcting them that that was wrong but that the other was right. I was very stubborn on this subject. I don't remember why this was but i think it had something to to with my neighbors who were older than me and i think eigther they believed this or they were playing a joke on me.

I used to believe…

The first wedding I went to was last summer, so I wasn't too familiar with the exact wording the minister used when he wed the couple.

I used to think, when he asked the man, "Do you take, Ms. so and so, to be your awfully and dreaded wife?"
