When I was five I thought I had my family all figured out. My parents had the same last name because they were grown-ups, my brothers had a different last name because they were boys, and my sisterand I had a different last name because we were girls!!! Come to find out my mom was married three times. :)

i was really gulable when i was younger and one time my big brother told me that i was the devils daughter and that my real name was Damien he told me when i turned 10 that the devil would come and take me to hell for years i believed him my mum didnt know he told me this and wondered why i was so upset on my 10th birthday

I used to believe that grown-ups, especially my parents, never cried. Really messed me up when it happened for the first time.

I could never remember how old my parents were, but when I was in 5th grade I figured out that my dad was 3 years older than my mom, and 30 years older than me, so it would be like me dating a 2nd grader, which I thought was gross. To this day, to figure out my parents ages, I add 30 years to me for my dad, and then think 5th grade/2nd grade to figure out my mom.

From watching movies and my mom's soap operas, I used to believe that if you loved someone a lot, you French kissed them (although I didn't know it was called that), and since I loved my parents and brother's a lot, I should French kiss them. My mom set me straight on that pretty quickly.

One Halloween, when I was about 7, my Dad dressed up in his old Navy uniform and my Mom dressed up a "girl that dates sailors." When the neighbors came over dressed the same, they told me that they were all dressed up as sailors and hookers. So for about 4 or 5 years, I thought that hookers were just girls that liked to date sailors...

When I was little and did something bad, my parents would always tell me about my perfect brother pete, and how they lost him and ended up with me. I really believed I had a brother Pete, and was always trying to be better than him!

When I was young I used to believe that I have to marry my sister. Like all parents have one boy and a girl and they have to be wife and husband!

when i was younger, i didn't like it that my brother was older and therefore stronger and cleverer than me. one day someone told me that i would be as old as him some day. i thought that meant that when he was about 20, i would catch up and be 20 aswell. i'm still waiting

When I was younger, whenever someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I said that I was going to be the Little Mermaid. And yet while I still thought that, I nearly drowned in my friend's pool one day and still expected to be the Little Mermaid.
