When I was in kindergarten (about 5 or 6), some kids in my class had gotten into the conversation whether or not God ever danced. My mom always told me she was SO OLD she knew Wilma Flinstone, George Burns' mother, etc., so I proceeded to stand up and tell everyone that I would ask my mom because she was from the "olden days" and she'll know if God ever danced (she was only about 38-40 at the time).
To this day I'm reminded by my mom that I told everyone she'd know if God danced. I can't live it down!

This is my dads belief. When he was little, he used to think that baby showers were where a bunch of women got together and took a shower. he never wanted to go because he didnt want to be in a shower with a bunch of older naked women
I would often wonder what it was like for my mum using the bath-room when she was younger. How on earth did she manage those big old-fashioned crinolene dresses by herself? When she told me she WASN'T actually 200 yrs old, I asked what that had to do with anything?
I couldn't count any higher than 10 when I was about 5 years old or so. I used to think that people would grow up and age one by one but once they got to 10 they would start going back down. For example, you turn 9 then 10 then back to 9 and then 8 and so on, just go up and down between 1 and 10 until you die.
I'm an idiot!

When I was young, I thought that *every* restaurant had professional chefs working there, making all the food from scratch. I was pretty surprised when I realized that just about anyone could be hired as a 'cook'.

When was little i used to belive that my brother Warren was an allien. He used to have a water bed. I thought it was a space ship. So my told me if you poke holes in it you can see his allien skin because he'll be mad. So i did that. Guess what? He was mad.
I used to think that women could only marry men who were older than they were. I was so relieved when, at age 6, I discovered that the little boy I had a crush on was exactly one month and one day older than I. Otherwise, I would have had to stop liking him.

I used to watch my mother sew. I didn't know about the foot pedal that made the needle move, and she told me it was magic. When I didn't believe her at first, she would wave her fingers at it and say, "Go!" and it would. I had no alternative but to believe her.

I once overheard my grandfather telling my mother about a few guys that he used to work with who were fired, but he used the word 'canned'. I thought canned meant killed.
