My grandparents used to take me to the horse races. Often, my grandmother would tell me "your grandfather's horse just won!" I knew my grandfather did not own any horses so I assumed he rode them and he therefore was a jockey, which is amusing because my grandfather was a rather large man with a huge stomach.

When my Mum left my older sisters in charge of me whilst she was out, she told me that she had given them authority to smack me if I was naughty.
I spent ages looking for this authority hoping I could get rid of it before they could use it on me!
I told my little sister that she was stolen from Gypsies. I told her that me and my parents where on vacation and saw a group of gypsies washing their clothes beside a river and that she was laying in a basket to the side sleeping, so my parents stole her. She believed me for years until my mother finally got tired of me torturing my sister, so she dug up some old pictures of my sister in the hospital right after she was born to prove that she was an offical member of our family.

One day I was six years old. My dad told me that superman and the invicible man and superman came to my home in the afternoon. So he recorded is own voice with a taperecorder pretending he was superman and the invicible man. telling me to do my homework and be nice to my parents and grandparents. The next day I told the story in school and everybody was like woooow they came to your home. I was really scared that they would come back whenever I did something wrong. But now after 22 years I know it was him.

My younger sister got so upset at always being younger than I. So, one time when I threw in her face "I am older than you, that's why" she answered "Wait until I get older than you!" I tried to correct her, telling her it would never happen. She stated, matter-of-factly, "After you turn 24, you start counting backwards! I will be older than you then!"
Now that we are both past that age, I remind her often that i am actually younger than she is... and will be until we start counting forward again! My poor sis, she just can't win!
I used to believe that when you wanted to get married, you would put on your tux, and walk around until you found a woman in a wedding dress, and then you'd be married.
