I used to believe…

When I was little my grandma had really long nails. Once I asked her why she didn't trim them and she said she did the day before (but didn't tell me she only trimmed them a little, I thought she had made them short and they had grown that much in one night.) Because of that and the fact that she had kind of hairy arms, I thought my grandma was a werewolf.

I used to believe that the man and woman had to be the same age to be married, because my parents are. So I never liked any boys younger or older than me. I found out that it wasn't true when I was 12, then I kissed a boy who was a year older than me. haha

I used to think when you grew up you'd get to a certain age and then get to choose whether to be a boy or a girl. And I was always gonna be a boy (I'm a girl) because is seemed more fun!! Thankfully I grew out of that one :S

I only knew my parents' names when i was at the age of 7. The whole time I just thought their names were mum and dad, until i realized that everybody elses parents had the same name.

Eavesdropping on a conversation between my mother and grandma, I heard them talking about them babysitting my cousin, Fiona. My Grandma said to my mother "Oh she's so good I could eat her!" damn she got some weird stares from me when I was six

I used to believe my grandmother was just a lady my parents choosen to be my grandmother, I often thought "does my grandmother have a family, or daughters and sons?"

When I was a child, I used to believe I would never get old.

I used to think that people keep growing taller till they die. I assumed that my grandparents were the size of a toothpaste tube when they were born!!

i used to believe that the man had to beolder than the woman when they married..so i thought when i turned 10 every single guy i knew would grow older than me in case i needed to marry one.

When I was young I wanted to be a hooker ... before I found out what it meant. At the time, though, I thought it was all about being beautiful and getting to dress up in awesome clothes.

I used to believe that when my father went to 'work' and every dad that went to work, went out to a forest and they all did lumberjack stuff. They'd all cut down trees and for some reason form a line standing across a raging river and transport fallen trees to the other side, across rapids and jagged rocks, because that's where they needed them. My father was actually the president of a company and went to work every day in a suit, i just assumed he changed in a locker room in which everything was made out of wood. I hadn't come up with something that working moms did, for i didn't know they existed, i thought all moms stayed home.

When I was about 6 or 7 years old, my mother and I were invited to a baby shower. I asked her why my younger brother wasn't invited and she said it was because boys weren't allowed. I agreed, and said he would probably be embarrassed with all the naked people around. When she asked what I meant she soon understood what I envisioned as a "baby shower" was where all the women invited took off all their clothes and literally showered with the newborn baby.

When i was about 7 i believed that grown ups cant cry, and if they can, they never do it, cuz they are so tough and big. im 21 now, and i know thats not the case :)

When I was young, I wanted to be a taxi driver. I have no clue why, lol. But now I realized it isn't the most exciting job...

i used to beleve that once you gre up, you could never go on vacation or have fun ever again.

now i know it isnt true, but i dont have fun anymore lol

when i was youger and my grandmother would talk about when my aunts and uncles were children i would imagine them as tiny burgers,with my aunts wearing pink bows i have no idea why
