I used to believe…

When I was young I asked my uncle ( actually just a mate of my dad, but I didn't know that then ) why he was bald. He told me it was because he drove a converitble. ( he had a red MG ). I don't remember how old I was when I was told this, but I was in my mid twenties when I found out it was TOTAL CRAP ! ! ! Sooooo embarrased.

I used to believe that I was cinderella I had 1 of the glass slippers, It was plastic but anyway, I believed my prince Charming would come along with my lost glass slipper and thats how I would find my man. By the way I am a boy. But my parents were gay.

I admit that I have a creative imagination even to this day, but when I was younger and noticed a change in my parents' behavior or temperment, I would assume that my real parents had been abducted by aliens and that these new, strange, people were actually robots or aliens.

I'm sure everyone is aware of how when a child is born, the parents select who the godmother and godfather of their child will be. I believed that this was the case with all relatives, and I pictured my mother walking down the street, finding a sweet old lady, and asking, "Hi, do you want to be my kid's grandmother?"

when i was about 4 to 5 yrs old, i thought my parents were monsters, that looked normal people when i was arround them, but as soon as i got out of the room, they would turn to their monster shape. At that period, i always tended to suddenly open the door, so that I would see them as monsters, which I thought they were. But for some reason, i never caught them looking like that... xD

When i was little, my older brother and dad told me i was adopted from monkeys. they kept telling me it, so eventually i thought it was true.

I used to beleieve that after my mom or dad would tuck me in my bed and go downstairs they would leave the house and never come back! I always would listen for my mom or dad to sit down in the chair in my living room wich you could here because it can go back. Once I heard the chair I would know someone just sat in it then would fall asleep. I know its stupid! :)

My dad has a little hole by ear. I think it's a birth mark or something, but when I was about six he told me and my sister that he was going to get his ear peirced and the guy missed...

My ears still aren't peirced...

i used to believe that when you grew up you could decide to be a fat mummy or a skinny daddy for some reason my sisters always laughed

I used to believe that, no man drank hot beverages, because my father never did.

i used to believe that boys and girls grew up with different ages so that girls went from 2year old to 4 year old to 6 year old etc and boys went 1 year to 3 yaer old to 5 year old etc! lol, i was weird.

I used to believe…

My brother is just barely two years older than me. When I was around four, I got very fed up with him boasting about his age, so told him that I would catch up to him one day. So I prayed for tornado's to come on his birthday. Somehow I thought that would prevent him from turning another year older... as if it were the celebration part that makes a person turn another age. If that were the case... I think people would have stopped celebrating their birthday's long ago.
And ironically... the tornado's always came on mine.

I used to believe that when you got to a certain age you got to choose whether you wanted to be a boy or a girl if you were a girl. And I used to feel bad for boys because they already grew into boys and didn't get a choice xD

my friend and i told her little brother that she used be a boy and that he might be a girl when he grows up and he believed us.

I used to believe…

My younger cousin, who is five years younger, for the longest time believed that his mother was under the age of eighteen. This was because when the TV infomercials for toys came on, he would ask his mother to buy them. Well at the end of the infomercials the voice would always say "Must be eighteen or older to order." So to get out of buying the toys, my aunt would tell my cousin that she was under eighteen.
This went on for some time, and she got some strange comments from people after he had apparently told them she wasnt eighteen yet.
To date, this has been a running joke in our family.
