I used to believe…
When i was young and watched a movie or TV program where two character were to be married, and at the last minute they'd call it off or get stranded at the altar�since this was quite common�i logically concluded that marriage on TV must be the real deal, and if one didn't really, really, really want to marry their costar, the wedding would have to be called off. Little did i know�drama is the key to captivating television.
I was very afraid of kidnappers as a child and couldnt wait to be a grown up as i thought adults could not be kidnapped!

When I was around 5 years old my older sister(about 9) told me I was found in a dumpster in Albuquerque. She then said that Albuquerque was in hell and that mom and dad only took me out of the dumpster so she would have someone to take care of her and clean her messes, and that it was a good way to punish a deamon.
I believed her and did whatever she wanted me to for about three weeks until one day when she had me eat dirt in our back yard. When my mother
found out she corrected me by saying 'if anything your sister is a deamon and you are an angel' Well, I sure took that one wrong. I though I was a real angel untill I was 7 and that my sister was the one who was found in a trashcan in hell.

when i was 6 my grandpa got fired from his job and i cried hardcore because i thought that when people got "fired" it meant they got thrown into a big pit of fire.

when i was about six i noticed my dad had a scar quite low on his belly. i asked him about this and he told me that a samurai had sliced his belly open with his samurai sword.
i truly believed this until i was about nine when i noticed my grandad had a scare in the same place so i asked him if the samurai got him too. i had to ask my nan why my grandad thought it was funny that a samurai sliced his belly. i was really disappointed when i was told it was an appendix scare lol

my dad once told me my great great grampa or sombody helped to build our town like to put up traffic lights and stuff. When discussing Cristopher Columbus in kindergarden one day the teacher said that he found canada and put towns here and stuff so i put my hand up and said "thats my grampa"!!!

When I was a little girl my dad closely resembled William Shatner on Star Trek. I asked my dad if that was his brother and he said yes. So, of course, I believed him. The same thing with my uncle who looked like the country singer Don Williams. He said "Sure he's my brother!" I was soooo clueless about how families work. I told everyone that Captain Kirk and Don Williams were my uncles.

Coming from a 100% Italian family, it was always interesting to me to have an Irish Aunt. I would manage to sit next to her at family gatherings and look up in amazement at her beautiful red hair. Once she told me that she would talk to Leprechauns every night and that she could see them because she was Irish. i would sit there with my mouth open listening to stories she told me of the wee people (leprechauns)...I am sure she had a good time with this..LOL

believed that "getting fired" meant your boss would
come after you with actual fire. which, i suppose,
