I used to believe…
When I was 12, my older brother was big into army stuff and always drank from a canteen. I went into his room one day and saw the canteen. I stuffed a bunch of ritz crackers in it and poured tabasco sauce in it too, then shook it up and left it there. The next time he took a drink, he spat it out all over! The belief comes in because I just recently told him I had done it (I am 26 now) and for all this time, he thought it had been our younger brother! (Because I would never do something like that...)

Once when I was, I guess 7 or 8, I woke up in the morning and, finding myself not being able to remember falling asleep, drew the obvious conclusion: I must have been a baby when I fell asleep, and now I was a big kid! So I strut downstairs like the big kid that I know I am, go straight up to my mom, and say, "notice anything differant about me?". She looked at me, and clearly stumped, replied "no, you look the same to me." I was crushed.

In kindergarten I finally admitted to my mom that I never wanted to be a teenager because teenagers have to go on dates with boys and take off their clothes.

When I was six I believed that being a real estate agent was the best job in the whole world because (to me) all you did was scribble on papers with real nice fancy pens, circle pictures of houses you liked, brings your friends around to nosy through other peoples houses, and make millions of dollars a year.
That was my dream, at 6, to be a real estate agent. HA

When I was about five or six, my sister used to get mad because she had to watch me all the time. To get even, she loved telling me that I had been born to a monkey family and that my parents had adopted me from them. She told me if I told anyone, than my parents would send me back to my monkey family. I believed this till I was about seven or eight, when I finally broke down and ran crying hysterically to my mom, begging her not to send me away....

When i was little, my mom used to always say that she had eyes in the back of her head so i believed her. One time I even swore i saw an eyeball but of course that was just my imagination.
Once, I asked her what was behind her when she had her back turned and she said "my robe". And of course that was correct. I remember being so startled...
