When we were little my little brother believed that ages went from old to young. His favorite thing to say was " When I was 16 I drove a car...." it was the funniest thing in the world.

I used to believe that I was supposed to be a boy. My mom had five kids: 3 boys in a row, me, then my younger brother. So I figured God made a mistake when he made me....Boy was I wrong!

I used to belive that the oldest person in the family was going to be the first to die. So I made a list including all my family in an age order. I spent more time with the older ones, beginning with my grandpa. Fortunately, that allowed me to have now the best memories.

i thought that only pregnant woman craved things but found out other wise every body craves something different love to all shelly.

i always thought i was supposed to get married to Oscar from kindergarten, because for the little play that we had, i was cinderella and he was the prince.
(no kissing in the making of the play. ew.)

I used to believe that when two people got married the wife automatically became pregnant. Like the baby just started growing once they decided to get married. That's because every wedding that I went to as a kid the bride was married. I had no concept of sex back then.

I used to believe that if you stepped on a crack, you would REALLY break your mama's back. I finally let it go when I turned 10.

When I was younger I wanted to be an archeaologist. I watched lots of TV shows on Egyptians, Pompei, and the like. What finally made me decide against it is that I was worried if I was alone and found a skeleton, I would scream and cry (and ruin my career).

i used to believe that your mum or dad's sister wasn't called your aunt until she was married. So i refused to call one of my mum's sister "aunt" until she got married when i was 8.

When I was little, I thought that if a child had a period of growing quickly, it was called a "growth sperm." Well, one of my friends came over to my house to play, and my mom mentioned to my friend that she has grown a lot since the last time she had seen her. So I blurted out, "YEAH, YOU'VE HAD A GROWTH SPERM!!!". Obviously, I later learned that it's called a growth SPURT, not sperm.

When I was young, I got very angry at my older brother for something I can't remember. I was so angry that I went to my mom and said "DO I REALLY HAVE TO MARRY HIM!?" thinking that you're supposed to marry your sibling, I thought that's why my mom's last name was the same as my dad's..

i used to think that my dad got my mom [mummy] from egypt.. when i was like 7

I thought that you could randomly decide who you wanted to marry, at any age. Apparently my friend from preschool thought this too-- I remember proposing to him and he said YES!

what sillies we were back then!

I used to believe…

When I was little my father was very mean to me, but only in front of my family; no one else.
So I thought this was normal and that all fathers were this mean. I would be over at a friend's house and see my friend sit on her father's lap or hug him or he might give her a kiss or whatever and I would think, "She's pretty nice to be so easygoing with her dad" as I figured that as soon as I was out of earshot he would be insulting her and hitting her.

(I don't speak to him anymore)

I used to believe…

One day, I became very afraid that my twin sister was actually a robot, and that she was going to come steal the soul of my beloved teddy bear, Biggie. I told her that, and I would not relent. She remembers that, to this day.

I used to believe…

My grandfather used to sit me down and say, "watch this." Then he would pull and tug on his front teeth and let out a big grunt as he removed his upper dentures from his mouth. Then he would shake his head and say, "phew!" as if it had taken a lot of effort. Then he would carefully replace them and press them hard and grunt again. Then he would wipe his brow, sit down exhausted, then look at me and say, "O.K. , now you try! I think he must have gotten a lot of enjoyment in watching me try to pull out my upper teeth in one big bunch!

When I was little all I wanted to do was grow up already. Not so I could be older or get more privileges but so I could be a fire engine. No, not a fire fighter, a fire engine: Red, shiny, with a ladder, and most importantly a really loud siren. I guess no one told me I couldn't transform...

I used to believe…

My Dad was an area manager for a shoe firm, and my sister Stephanie (aged about 9) announced that when she grew up she wanted to be a manageress. My name is Paula, and when I heard this (aged about 5) I informed my father that if she was going to be a "manager S" then I was going to be a "manager P"
