I thought you were put on earth as a either a kid or grown-up.
I used to believe that when you were 12, you automatically changed sex
I couldn't count any higher than 10 when I was about 5 years old or so. I used to think that people would grow up and age one by one but once they got to 10 they would start going back down. For example, you turn 9 then 10 then back to 9 and then 8 and so on, just go up and down between 1 and 10 until you die.
I'm an idiot!
When i was little i used to think that Adults just kept on growing and thats how giants were made. I always wondered Where the lived and if the ever grew their heads right through there house roof. Then i cam up that they lived in mansions. I believed till i was about 10 when my mom told me she had stopped growing.
I used to believe that first you grew up as a baby, kid, adult, then teenager. How wierd.
when i was little, i believed that big people...ie moms and dads, never got threw up and never got zits....lol....lol...wish i had been right!
I would see "Senior Discount" signs at places like movie theaters and restaurants, and until I was about thirteen, I couldn't wait until I was a senior in high school so that I could get special discounts.
I used to think that height was how you could tell how old grownups were, the taller ones were older. Using this logic the sweet short old lady next door was was younger that my friends tall mom.
I was always convinced large grown men were simply shaved polar bears, but for what reason,I'll never be sure
My grandson thought all clothes were sized by age. When I was looking for a blouse, he picked out one for me , but I said it was too small, to which he replied, "How old are you then Nana". I was delighted to answer 18!
When I was little I thought that all adults were born adults and my generation was lucky and they were born kids, I also thought that teachers lived at school and doctors lived at the clinic...ect. and only parents got to live in a house...lol
I used to think that all teenagers were naturally cool. So I used to belive that when you turn into a teenager you would naturally turn cool and wear the coolest clothes and skate around.ect.
BOY I WAS PIG IGNORANT!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember when I was 5 years old, my dad gave me a bath. While I was hanging out in the tub playing with the water and toys my dad had a friend visiting with him. I remember over hearing my dad saying to his friend how he felt very tired and that he felt and was falling apart at his age. I literally thought he was "falling a part." I was crying all night long.
As I was probably the most clumsiest kid in neighborhood, I watched my older "friends" playing and I was thinking how great it would be if I grew up instantly and would be much smarter than everyone else.
When I was little I believes you changed your name when you got older or married as all the adults had lames like Irene, Valerie, Neville, Brian - no one little had names like that so I thought you got to pick another one when you got older.
I used to believe that if I wasn't good I'd turn into a boy, because everywhere people were always saying: "Those boys sure are awful. I wish they could be girls." Or "Dennis, if you acted more like your sister you wouldn't be in this mess." and etc.
When I was young I used to think that when you got really old then you got younger again-kind of reversed! I thought that when they got down to babies again they would die!
I can't beleive I said that!
When we were little my little brother believed that ages went from old to young. His favorite thing to say was " When I was 16 I drove a car...." it was the funniest thing in the world.
i used to believe that being an adult is fun and easy
I used to believe (& generally still do) that people I met for the first time were the same age as me, regardless of whether they blatantly looked older or younger
