My friend and I used toy shovels to dig in the school soccer field, convinced we would find gold there. We did it during every recess.

I used to think that all of my toys where real so if you slept with one in your bed the others would get sad and leave during the middle of the night.

one time i really wanted a pink cloth child's wallet at a toy store, that had a kitten holding a star-topped magic wand painted on it. somehow i thought this picture meant the small wallet contained a full-sized wand, and when my mother bought me the wallet i was crushed that this was untrue. i felt absurdly self-pitying about my deprived childhood afterwards.

Some of my 'little people' toys would float in the bathtub and some of them would sink. As a child, I was convinced that the ones that could float must have taken swimming lessons.

When I was about 11 years old I became very good friends with my new next door neighbor. Together we'd tell eachother secrets and girl talk, (all that good stuff.) Well, she told me that she was secretely half wolf, half human. She said whenever there was a full moon she'd actually turn into one. I was a little suspicious at first, but it seemed like the more she told me she was, the more I actually believed her. I believed her, but once my suspicions came back...I knew I was being way too gullible! That same summer about a month later I asked her if she was really telling the truth, she laughed and said that she was joking. She couldnt believe I actually believed her!

I used to believe that if I wanted to, I could take a plane up to the sky, and sit on a cloud without going through. For hours Id be swinging on my swing in my backyard staring at the sky, day dreaming of sitting on a cloud.

When I was in the first grade, our teacher played this song called "Spooky Stew" during October. She played it every day and, although I enjoyed it, it had a negative effect on my brain.
Every night, when my parents were giving me a bath, I would totally freak out a start screaming and stuff because I believed that I was in a big vat of "Spooky Stew". My parents had to talk to my teacher and tell her to stop playing the song. Man, were my classmates ticked!!!

When I was about 5 or 6 my pet goldfish arthur died and when I came home from school to find an empty bowl, my possibly evil big brother told me that he had flown (yes flown) to the bottom of the garden with his fish family in the tree whilst also wearing a yellow rain mac, matching hat and boots. I thought this was the coolest thing and told all the kids in my class and my parents were called in as the teachers thought I was "special". He also told me he was my teacher and used to dress up as a nun every day.... yet again I believed it... doh

i use to believe....that cement trucks carried balloons to the Bozo circus....lol

My grandpa had a knack for kite flying. He could send pieces of paper all the way up the string to the kite. One day, one fell off that I didn't see: he rubbed it on the grass and then told me it hit the moon; the green edges on the paper were proof, since the moon is made of green cheese. Unfortunately, I was laughed out of "show and tell" in kindergarden when I related this story.

I used to think little tiny people lived inside of my toy cars. But when I tried to look inside to see them they would hide.

When I was 5 I use to believe if you closed your eyes and spun in a couple circles, that when you stopped you would be invisible.

When I was little I used to love sleeping with my baby doll, but I always wondered why it would be on the floor when i woke up. My older sister told me that when we slept all our dolls and stuffed animals would come to life and walk around. I never slept with my doll after that

When I was little I used to think that when we left the house another family lived there and played with my toys. If a toy went missing I blamed it on the "other" child who lived there when we left.

I used to believe that all my stuffed animals would talk once I left the room. Since I didn't want to start an all out stuffed animal brawl, I would rotate them everyday around my bed so they wouldn't get jealous.

after watching the borrowers as a little kid and that being my favorite movie i tholught that my dolls would come to life and talk to each other. so when i woke up i was so excited to see if they moved in a different spot...no luck the dolls never moved but i belived tha10

Until I was about 8, I used to believe that I was mentally retarded, and people wouldn't tell me because they didn't want to make me feel bad. I still wonder...
