I used to believe my teddy bear was from vegas and thats why whenever i used to play poker with him he always won.
When I was in daycare, one of the forms of entertainment consisted of a toy catalog and a small adding machine (like a typewriter but with only numbers). We would look through the catalog, finding things we wanted, and put the number into the machine.
I believed the numbers it printed on the paper actually represented the things in the catalog, so I typed in the number for some "scary" plastic bugs hundreds of times. Then I would use the strips of paper to scare girls.
Weird thing is - it worked.
When I was a kid, and someone told us to close our eyes and imagine something, and then they asked if we could see it, I was pretty sure they just meant if we had it pictured in our imaginations, but, in the back of my mind, I wondered if other people really could see it, like in a dream, but, for some reason, I couldn't do that.
Beliefs? Ok, here we go: The linen cupboard was the door to Hell (but only when the light was off) every night when I was asleep, my porcelain dolls would come alive and try to kill me/jump on my bed (I still believe this one sometimes), I simply couldn’t understand that dreams weren’t real, there were ghosts in my toilet (they turned evil when you flushed) and yet, with all these paranoid fantasies, my worst fear was that someone would tickle me while I was asleep.
I used to think that my stuffed animals were alive and I would talk to them but the weird thing was is that I actually thought they were talking back to me until I was about 7.
in fourth grade...
I honestly, seriously believed that I could fly.
I cannot jump very high.
I cannot run fast.
But I thought I could leap from a slope as it began to go down and start flying; and that if I trained hard enough, I could fly myself to the moon.
When I was little, around 6 or 7, my friend Hannah and I were convinced we had these amazing superpowers. Her's was seeing the future and mine, slightly less cool, was the power to wake people up. Amazing, I know. I thought this because whenever I'd see my older brother asleep on the couch, I'd go stand over to him and just stare at him for a long time and miraculously, he woke up! And obviously be freaked out his weird little sister was just staring at him.

I used to talk with my teddy bear and I really thought he answered me.
i used to believe my mom could read my mind, it was pretty scary it made try not to think, also i thought my parents were aliens in human disguises and that they adopted me, too much tv!
I used to believe that the colors red and green loved each other and purple wanted to be with green and was jealous of red. Red and purple hated each other and I also hated purple because I was on red's side.
my teddy is my family
when i look after and sleep next to my teddy i am going to have a good time and be closer to my mum and my dad. i am slowly increasing my teddy collection the more people i try to be close to. its rather OCD ish....
When I was about 4, my mother and I were shopping at Walmart when my eye caught a bag of Cotton in the Arts and Crafts section. I begged my mother to buy me this big bag of cotton, and she felt she could possibly use it in blanket or some other craft.
When we were loading the bags into van, I grabbed the bag of cotton and ripped it open, and quickly started putting the cotton in my mouth.
I was shocked and extremely disapointed to find out that it wasn't Cotton candy.
My mother gave me a strange look and I had lost my appetite for cotton candy.
When I was little I use to sleep with a bunch of stuffed animals and every night, no matter how long it took, I would ritualistically hug and kiss everyone one of them. I was scared that if I didn’t share my love equally they would come alive and attack me at night. I blame the X-Files…
My older sister once told me that when she found out she was going to have a baby sister that I would be just like a doll she could play with for a while, and toss in a corner when she got bored of it.

I believed that my stuffed animals would come alive and protect me if something ever happened to me at night...I was never afraid of the dark
when i was a kid i was convinced i was different from everyone else, after seeing the movie D.A.R.Y.L. I was convinced I was a robot, but after a while i decided i wasn' t, so it must be something else, then i realised (since I was raised a christian) that i must be the third coming of Christ (I also believed that a second Christ had existed around the year 1000), until I was about 12 when the Angel Gabriel didn't come and tell me my mission. I am now an atheist.

I used to have a belief that everyone had a worm in their brain that was controlling their body and no one was aware of it except for me.
My parents gave me a Linka model-making kit one Christmas when I was about seven or eight. It consisted of some brick wall-shaped moulds into which you poured some white liquid, which then set hard into bits of wall from which you made model houses. One of my friends helped me make it, and because it was white liquid, I thought he was making some milk! About 25 years later I've still got it, but I've never touched it since then and it's probably all set hard by now!
When I was very little, I imbued inanimate objects with personalities. When it was raining and the windshield wipers were on, I thought it was a mother and her child. The one on the left was the mother putting the child to bed. "You must go to bed!" and the child would jump back up saying "I won't go to bed!" over and over.
