My parents had a pool table, and I believed that the balls were all married. The female balls were solid and the male balls were striped. The colors determined who was with whom.. the 2 ball (blue) was married to the 10 ball (blue stripe) and they all lived in their own pocket (some had to share). Of course, the 8 ball (black) and cue ball (white) were different, but also the only ones left, so they were married to each other, but the other balls didn't like them and picked on them. It made PERFECT sense and I'd spend hours sitting on the table, making them all interact and talk and fight. Fights were the best... one ball would smack another and it would go flying, sometimes into a pocket that belonged to another ball, and then there'd be a whole new fight over that.

I also used to believe that everyone else in the world was a robot. It is interesting to read others' comments as to why children sometimes believe this. Isolation and self-centeredness seem to be the most common reasons. I was probably a little of both.
Another thing I used to believe was that the fermata symbol in my elementary music songbooks was really a camera eye that was spying on me. I used to frown and make faces at it. So I was pretty paranoid as well!
As you I used to be child I believes than it is to meus toys they had life AND as you I let they all alone they conversed with each other AND as you I looked they ficavam idle AND haven't you they stirred
I used to believe that the world was made for me and that my parents and everyone else around me were acting from a script. So i would try and do spontainious things to try and muck up their performence like ask them where i was born and what i had for breakfast. Funny enough it just made people annoyed and then I would assume it worked.
Whenever i was naughty, my mom would say i wasn't allowed to have my ice-cream or dessert after dinner that night. i would become so distraught that i would tell her i was going to run away, and then i would run up to my room and write her a note saying i wasn't ever coming back, and then just go hide in our little cupboard under the stairs. After years of experience, my mom now knows exactly where to find me. XD
I used to think that i was asleep and when i died i would wake up with all my memories of the dream intact as a baby chiild. Then i would grow up for real exactly as i had in the dream, but because i knew what would happen i could prevent all the bad stuff ad live the perfect life!
I guess it would explain the fact that i keep remembering dreams, and telling ym sister about them, when i haven't. And the fact that really random dreams (Like my friend asking me if i'd ever tried fried carrot) came true months after i'd had them.
I still do slightly believe this. I'm not sure if this is my real life or just a dream, but i'm sure i'll figure it out eventually! i thought this happened to everyone. I have no idea why.

I used to think that if I snapped my fingers at my stuffed animals, they would come to life; and then if I snapped again, they would become lifeless. So, when I was 12 and felt I was too old to play with stuffed toys (especially pretending/believing they were real), I snapped my fingers at them for the last time, and put them down for eternal rest.

when my cousin and me were little we were convinced that this teddy was moving towards us and that it was trying to get to us to eat us XD
Every time I walk out of the room my Pony in My Pockets move out of my little pony house. Is this just a fluke or are they alive? My house is only 1yr.
old!!! None of my other toys move just my ponies. I do not share a room. My siblings deny touching them. Those toys moved in my room while my whole family was dining!!
i used to believe that if u bitched about someone, they'd always find out. i also thought that god would tell someone if u'd thought mean things about them...
i always was a wierd child
When I was nine, I was staying at a babysitter's house. My sister, who was about five, gave me these round things with holes that had little squares inside. She told me they were some of her toys that I could play with, and of course, I believed her. I was having a blast until the babysitter came in and caught me. It turns out that they were her mother's very beloved slide pictures. Oh boy, did I get in big trouble.
Me and my brother used to share a room, and I used to think that the characters or people in our posters on the wall were looking at me, and only me. I'd tell him that their eyes were following me around, and he'd say "No they're looking at me!" and I said "They're looking at me, you can tell by the look in their eyes." and he believed me, as did I! Haha.
When i was 6 my brother told me if i climb on a tree i will get cancer. So i told that to other kids in a neighborhood. He also told me if i ride a bike i will die. Bikes in our neighborhood also got very dusty ;)
When I was a little girl, I used to believe that our toys were real. Me and my sister used to get out of bed at night and cover a lot of our stuffed animals in blankets when we had really cold weather. We would lay them down on their stomaches and even leave the nightlight on. We also used to believe that since Barbie was such a preppy girl, she had to live in the bathroom. The bathroom was where the water was and Barbie had to have her pool. The other stuffed animals had to live in the toybox because she thought they were beneath her.
in the day you were allowed to keep your dummy but at night a man called mr moonie came and took your dummy to children in austrailia, who needed it because it was their night time
When I was 5 I thought that every time you cried because of a dream, the dream would come true. One night I had a dream that all of my toys were flushing themselves down the toilet--- and I cried. I thought that my toys would start going down the toilet, so every night I would make sure that the toilet seats and tops were down before bed. That went on until I was 7!
