I used to believe that the harry potter worl dwas real...
Whenever something was oddly convient around the house (like my shoes were next to eachother neatly by the door) i thought they were there becuase of house elves.
I also believed that when i was 11 i would go to hogwarts.
i was probably 6 or 8 at the time.
I used to believe that my Build-A-Bears would talk and dance when I went to sleep. So I tell my Build-A-Bears that it was okay to talk and dance in front of me and I wouldn't tell anyone. I'm still not so sure of it now!!
I used to believe cabbage patch kids would actually come to life while you were sleeping and kill you. So I threw mine out when I was young. To this day I shudder at the sight of them.
I always thought my dolls and Barbies would live in their own little world and talk and date and have fun when I left my room. so sometimes I would leave and then jet back to see if I could catch them in the act!
When I was younger, about 8 i'm guessing, I had to make sure the lid on the toilet was down, the door was closed (and locked) and towels were stuffed under the door to block the crack. Because if they weren't, my barbies would jump into the toilet and flush themselves.
Even gave me nightmares!

I used to believe that my life was a book someone was reading or a movie that someone was watching, and even now I kind of still do.
One evening after a trip to the children's museum, my mother took us kids through the drive-thru at McDonald's. My sister and brother, who were 5 and 4 at the time got happy meals. The prize in them was a pack of scented crayons. We were all quiet while we happily munched away, until my brother let out a blood-curdling cry. My mom slammed on the brakes and pulled the minivan onto the shoulder of the highway. "What's wrong?!" she asked, fearing my brother had been stung by a bee or pinched in his car seat or otherwise physically injured. Through his sobs he told her that he dropped the bag containing his happy meal prize out the window. My mom said, "That's all? You have enough crayons at home anyway." but my brother begged her to find them. Apparently, the McDonald's commercial advertising the crayons in the happy meals showed kids drawing things like racecars and airplanes and the drawings coming to life and flying off the page. My mother spent the next 30 minutes searching the side of the interstate in the dark for my brother's "magic crayons".
when I was little, I used to try really hard to invent a new color, and I was convinced that people hadn't discovered all of them yet. eventually when I got older I gave up.
I was completely sure I was going to be accepted into Hogwarts when I turned 11. I acted out scenes in which I got my letter; arriving on the Hogwarts Express; and meeting all of my new wizarding friends. I'm 14 now and It's still the only wish I have. I wish it was real...
i was 8 when i woke up one morning and all my barbie dolls were decapitated by this doll Filipinos called "chaka doll" (ugly doll). at least that was what i thought. the idea was logical to me that time. given that the doll was dirty and shabby and really bad-looking (the clear opposite of barbie), i thought, "so that explains everything..."
When I was younger I used to make believe that cameras followed me around and that my life was like a movie...part of me knew that camera men werent really following me everywhere i went...but when i would walk alone it would make me feel better because i thought that in case something happened they would be there to help me...i actually did this up till high school haha
I went home for lunch when I was in Kindergarden and asked my mom what is better boys or girls. Knowing the answer I wanted to hear she said "Boys." and I marched back to school feeling good about myself, walked strait up to my friend who was on the monkey bars and told her. "I'm better than you!"
When I was really little I used to think I was stronger than everyone except my dad and everyone should be greatful that I was such a nice guy and didn't want to hurt anyone.

When I was little, I'd never want to go near any Lego sets with flashing lights, thinking that they'd open up a dimensional vortex and suck me in.
When I was like five, my older siste found a chicken leg bone in the back yard and she thought it was a dinasour bone and when she showed it too my perants, they enceraged her because she was little so I also thought she found a dianasour bone. She got so much attention bcause she found a "dinasour bone" So I went in the back yard and searched and searched untill I came across a white peice of plastic wich I though was a dinasour bone. I took it in to show my perants and wich is really messed up, they didnt incurage me, they toldme straight off that it was only plastic. But I kept it in a little cabinate of mine and whenever I was bored, I would hold it and talk to it because I thought I could talk to dinasours when I held it. Too much dragon tales I think...
I started reading the Harry Potter series when I was about 9 years old. I was excited and hopeful to be turing 11, because I thought I was going to Hogwarts. I was disappointed when I didn't get an acceptance letter, but told myself "there's always next year." I know it was doubtful, but I just wanted to believe in magic; and that I'm magically gifted or w/e. Next year did come around, but by then, I had lost faith in being a Wizard. I'm 13 years old now. :) And I still wouldn't find being a Wizard...
As a young child, my parents taught me Barney The purple dinosaur was evil. Then I started daycare. According to my parents, when a little boy "shared" a Barney toy for no reason, I threw it down and screamed "BARNEY IS EVIL!", loud enough for the "teacher" to hear. And they appearantly "brainwashed" me into thinking Barney was okay. My mom wasn't pleased. She told her that it was part of our beliefs that Barney was in fact, evil. My parents convinced me that Barney was evil, and I hold that belief to this day.
I used to believe that everyone but me was a robot. And when I fell asleep they had to get replaced with the next day`s robots. It was a wonder to me how they could talk normally. ....I believed this Till i was about 11.
I used to believe…
whenever i would color a picture of a person i thought once i colored that part of them it came to life. So i always made sure to color their mouth and eyes first so they could see and breath.
