I used to believe that when an electronic toy commercial said the "Batteries not Included" disclosure that it meant the toy did not need batteries at all to operate.

I used to think my stuffed dogs and mechanial dogs (like iPuppy) were real. I would always try to make my parents go home in the middle of an event, like dinner, so I could feed them or put them to bed. I even game my 100's of toy dogs unique names, and put them with their family or friends. My parents and older sister always thought this was strange because they'd ask me, "Are you just pretending your stuffed dogs are real or do you really think they are real?" I would always reply with a stern and confident, "I think they are real." I kept pretending until I finally got a real dog. Then I wasn't strange anymore..:)
when i was little i played woth mr potatoe and i used to belive that mr potato could move and walk.
I used to wonder if I was the only real person in the whole world and everyone else were just robots, or that maybe I was the robot and everyone else controlled me.
Okay, so I'm going to admit something that scares me, my mom, and my dad (My brother dosen't remember) to this day. When I was a little girl I had this doll. Now, it was a rather old doll and had been sewn up very often, including right across one eye. Well, I was in 1st grade, and while I didn't need a night-light I HAD to have this doll. I believed that it was hurt from protecting me at night, and if it was with me it wouldn't get hurt anymore.
Well, one night we apparently had a prowler. My room is on the second story, but my dad had the ladder out, so the guy climbed the ladder. I woke up to the sound of my window opening. now, being REALLY little, I freaked out. I threw my doll in his face and screamed. Later, when my parents were asking me about it, I told them I threw my dolly at him and she hit him hard and punched him and kicked him.
Needless to say, I still have the doll. I was convinced for YEARS that my dolly was a hero..
When I was about four, my mom got invited over at my neighbours house for coffee, and I went with her. The neighbour had dozens of spanish dolls on display in her living room. I was fascinated by them and got really excited when my mom told me she collected them as a hobby. I decided to become a collector aswell, and immediately went outside on the street to spot some dolls lying on the ground! After looking very long and hard, I started wondering why I couldn't "collect" a single doll when the neighbour had so many, and figured there must be something wrong with me.
I think too much. Haha. I use to believe, about in 4th grade, that I was the only real person here. Like everyone else were just robots or something. I don't know, I use to think about it a lot. I still do sometimes.
Up until I was about 11 years old I believed that Queen Elizabeth was my real mother and that I had been adopted as a baby. No, I didn't just believe it - I was certain of it. When I saw my baby book I thought it was a lie. I have no idea where this came from.
when i was 4, my grandmother bought me a little basketweave type mini suitcase. It became my traveling companion for every four hour trip to her house, filled with crayons, paper, and my favorite blankie. My mother would ensure that i had it along by telling me that it was my responsibility to take care of. The name stuck to it forever...
My cousins to this day are jealous that I had "a responsibility" and they didn't...
I still have the basket - and it still has it's name "responsibility"

when i was little, i thought i could tell the future by looking at shapes of clouds.
I used to think it was an actual possibility that my entire life was a movie (Except for the boring parts, which were edited out) and used to sit in my room trying to find the audience at night. I was an odd kid... I have to admit I retained at least a bit of my theory until about 5th grade, when I decided I was being idiotic.
I use to believe that the only reason my parents would send me to watch T.V alone, was so they, along with the rest of the world could plot against me. The T.V was just a clever ploy to keep me distracted while they organized my downfall. haha

I used to believe that the world stopped if I wasn't there.
I used to believe that if you ever threw a glass marble it would disappear. And by that I mean magically vanish.
I could swear my mother told me it was true, but she doesn't remember anything about it.

I am 13 and i used to think that barbies were alive and would eat my toes in my sleep so I threw all of them away
When I was little after watching the movie "The Truman Show" I was freaked out and kept looking for cameras all over the place. although I know that's not true it keeps coming to my head.
When I was a little kid, I believed that if someone was next to you (standing/sitting, whatever) they could read my mind. I was scared by the fact everyone could read my mind, but I couldn't read theirs.
I also thought that the earth and life itself was just a figment of my imagination, and that no one really existed except for me, and the world was just pure white. I was a microscopic ameoba alone in a blank world...
I was a demented kid.

I use to belief that My life was a book and the author was constantly writing my life down (like every detail) i was strange I know
I used to believe, at some point, that I was a special emissary from a planet in the next solar system over from our own, and that the planet shared the same name as me, and the entire planet was populated with people who looked and talked exactly like I did. There was a planet for my sister and a planet for a friend of mine, as well, with those same properties as my planet had.
I remember, in the minutes before class, being at school and sneaking a quick word to my homeworld. My communication device was a viewscreen that I had no memory of setting up but had cleverly disguised as a bulletin board. And only I could see what the screen really showed, which was an absolutely barren landscape crowded with thousands of me's, all clustering to get in view and to wish me luck in my mission, whatever it might have been.
When i was little i used to think that when i went to sleep my animals had a party. so i would act like i closed my eyes and secretly watch them, nothing happened.
