I used to believe that most of the toys you get for presents (especially at Christmas) would run away after a few months, because you didn't buy them yourself. In the case of Christmas presents, Santa was just loaning them to you. Around the time I was 9, I learned that my parents had been selling these toys at the annual yard sale a friend of the family had, or giving them to my friends as birthday presents... To curb this practice, I started carving my initials in my favorite toys with a steak knife.

When I was younger, I thought that I am a robot and every other people are examing me on everything. They are hiding many things from me, but they don't know that I know, so be carefull with me, you never know when I'll use my laser :)

I used to think I was a cat, so I'd walk around telling people this. I was about 3 or 4 years old then.
I have no idea why but, when I was around 4years old I thought I was a bear in some kind of costume. I told this to my brother and it took me 5 minutes to tell him because I was laughing so hard
When I was little, I was terrifed of joining the Bluebirds (Camp Fire Girls) or the Brownies; I took the names very literally, and I didn't want to turn into either one!
When I was younger, I used to believe that my porcelin (sp?) dolls and my stuffed animals were alive...and have feelings and stuff. You know, kind of like in 'Toy Story' but creepier. The dolls would freak me out and I would hope that they wouldn't come kill me like in the movies, and I would talk to my teddybear that I slept with that my grandmother gave me. Even to this day in the back of my mind I make sure that I am nice to all my stuffed animals including the bear my boyfriend gave me that I sleep with now (and my dolls are packed away I'm happy to say)....strange, I know, and I'm nearly 21!
I used to be afraid of baby dolls that closed their eyes when you layed them down, because I was afraid that they were dead. I used to tape their eyes open so they wouldn't die.
My stuffed animals would feel bad about themselves if I showed favoritism.
I'd torture myself weighing in my mind which had had the most attention, getting up several times from bed to switch animals.

The movie, The Truman Show, petrified me and I thought a bunch of people could be watching me on their TVs...I still wonder about it....

When I was young, I didn't like to hold stuffed animals when I went to bed because I was afraid I would eat them in my sleep. I was weird.
My mother constantly told me I wasn't her child. She said there was a mix-up in the hospital and I had been switched with someone else. Many of my aunts and uncles called me a changeling because I was so different from my brothers, so it was easy to believe I didn't belong. I spent many nights wishing my real parents would find me and take me home even though I knew it was impossible. You see, the reason I was switched was because they didn't want a baby like me and they stole the "real" Theresa and my mom was stuck with me. And I knew it was true, my mom told me about it.
When I was child my mom told me that my dolls came alive at midnight and if I was still awake they would kill me. There is nothing like waking up to pee, seeing it's 11:55 and hiding under your covers shaking because you know if your dolls see you they will kill you.
when i was little i thought my toys were alive when i went out of the room like toy story. whenever i came into my room i always tried to catch them out and see them. they were always too quick for me. because of that i gave all my toys away. about a year later i realised toys cant be alive. i felt so stupid for giving them away
When I was about 6 I used to walk up and down in front of our reflective school hall windows pretending to be a reindeer. i thought that if i tried hard enough i could turn into one. i even used tot hink i could see my nose turning red and my body changing shape.
When I was little, I thought that when you went to sleep your Barbie dolls came alive and used the little props you have(to play with ex. clothes, shoes, food(pretend) ect) and had a big party. I also thought that they had moniters on you so they would know when you were going to wake up. I never caught them partying. What a shame ; )
When I was eight or nine, I had this stuffed monkey. I always thought at night it would come to life and get on my bed and watch me sleep. I got so scared I had woken up one night and saw it on the floor and screamed. My mom came up stairs and I threw it in my closet.its been there ever since.
We had one of those low audio quality singing toys (kinda like the singing fish). This one was a white Christmas Bear dancing and singing "Yes, Jesus Loves Me ... Yes, Jesus Loves Me" ... My neice when playing it would hear something totally different. "Yes, Beat the Puppy ... Yes, Beat the Puppy". Though usually I let kids sing their own versions, I did correct her on this one
when i got my first cabbage patch doll at 7 i beleved the dolls were born in cabbage patches not bought in stores so i was never out of my neighbours cabbage patches looking for the dolls
